絵本『戦争がまちにやってくる』

ウクライナのリヴィウを拠点に活動する絵本作家、ロマナ・ロマニーシンとアンドリー・レシヴの共著『戦争がまちにやってくる』（金原瑞人訳）を読みました。
絵がとてもカラフルで綺麗。そのため、色彩のコントラストでの情報も大きかったです。
読み聞かせをしていたときに、子ども達が絵本について自分自身で見て聞いて（読んで）感じる部分に介入しないのが良いと聞いた事があります。出版されてからまだ日が浅く、これから読まれる方も多いかと思いますので、グラフィックスが美しかった以外の言及は無しです。

Where have all the flowers goneという歌を高校の音楽の授業で歌ったことがあります。１番から４番が延々と繰り返される流れになっていると聞いて哀しく切なく感じた記憶が、絵本を読んでよみがえりました。

（歌詞のサイトでは３番のthe young menがthe husbandsになっている場合が多いようですが、ここでは私の習ったバージョンで載せております。）

絵本を、今は大人になった子どもにも（机に向かっているときにほぼ押し付け状態で）読んでもらいました。そのあとで「どうだった？」と聞いたら、感じ考えたことを話してくれて、その経験にも感謝でした。大人になってからは絵本を読み聞かせることはなくなったけれど、たまには（ほぼ押し付け状態かもしれないけど）読んでもらって感想を聞くのも良いなと思いました。
