今回の内容は「私が留学中に感じた日本に対する海外のイメージ」です。

It has already been a year of my study abroad life. I would like to talk about what people who are from different counties think about Japanese people. I have met a lot of people who are from different countries because there are many exchange students and international students at Fontys university. I have communicated with them to not only improve English skills but I wanted also to learn how they think about Japan. My expectations were that Japan is the famous counties in the worlds, otherwise, I thought that almost all of them were really interested in culture, food, architecture something like that in Japan. Specifically, except for Asia, this is completely wrong that they are not interested in Japan even though it holds the Olympic in 2020. Japan is a not special country, Japan is an only fraction of the world.

However, fortunately, there are some people who like japan asked me about the reason why I have decided to come to the Netherlands through study abroad. The most interesting question from European people was that can Japanese people understand what Chinese people say? It is not only one person but also some people who do not know Japanese people can not understand Chinese. As I mentioned before, japan can not be independent of Asian countries. Just Japanese people think that we are thought by them, which is wrong. Moreover, I felt that Japan does not become known throughout the world, especially Europe.

Whereas, Animation is strikingly popular in the NOT only America but also Europe. When I talk with international students who are interested in Anime, they keen on talking with me about anime. Because I am from japan. when I introduce myself that is country, hobby, etc, which I said to them that I don’t know this anime, they feel disgusted not to have knowledge of anime. they have a stereotype that Japanese people can make sushi, Japanese people know all of the anime.haha

自分が思っていた理想と違って、誰もが日本を好きなわけでもないし日本の文化を知らないっていうのが当たり前。こんなにインテーネットが全世界に普及しているにもかかわらずまだまだ日本のこと知らない人がたくさん。逆に自分たちも他の国のことをあまり知らないなと実感しました。日本のことを好きというてくれる友達は基本アニメが好きで、アニメのことについてたくさん語ってくれましたし、僕も基本的にアニメは好きな方なのでとてもよく盛り上がります。特にフランスの人たちは日本についてとても興味を持ってくれている印象でした。ここにきて数えられないくらいのいろんな国の友達ができ、その国の人というよりも、その人自身によって性格もキャラクターも様々であり、当たり前のことかもしれませんが、このことを肌で実感できたことはとても良かったです。とても今日海を持った質問は、「日本人は中国語理解できるんでしょ？」その質問を受けたとき私は衝撃を受けました。笑

また、私が友達に日本を紹介するときは、日本の食べ物を紹介します。私が住んでいるVenloという街は少し田舎で商店街のような夜ご飯をダベに行くような場所があまりありません。あるとしても、ハンバーガー、ケバブ。レパートリーがとても少なくて、毎日日本で様々な美味しい料理話食べてきた私にとっては、食生活の部分においては少し苦労しました。なので私はいつも友達にたくさんの日本の料理話紹介します。
