ナスの3本仕立てとは、露地栽培において通常行われる栽培方法です。これは、1番花の下にある2本のわき芽、もしくは1番花を挟んで上下2本のわき芽を伸ばし、3本の主枝を形成する方法です。この方法により、ナスの株は均等に成長し、多くの実をつけることが期待できます。3本の主枝から出るわき芽はそのまま伸ばして構いません。

ナスは水分を多く必要とする作物です。おすすめなのは、1日1回、朝か夕方に水を与えることです。特に気温が高いと水切れを起こしやすいので、暑い日が続く場合は朝と夕方の2回水を与えることが効果的です。適切な水やりは、ナスの健康な成長と豊かな収穫を助けます。

The Importance of Fertilizers

Eggplants are a crop that thrives on fertilizers. Ideal conditions include deep, fertile soil, and ensuring that fertilizers are not depleted after planting, which allows for a long-term and abundant harvest. With proper cultivation, it is possible to harvest over 100 eggplants from a single plant. However, excessive fertilization can cause “fertilizer burn,” where the roots get damaged, preventing water and nutrients from reaching the above-ground parts of the plant. Thus, proper fertilizer management is crucial.

肥料の重要性  

ナスは肥料を好む作物です。耕土が深く肥沃であることが理想的で、定植後には肥料を切らさないようにすることが、長期間多量の収穫を可能にします。うまく栽培すると、1本の株からなんと100本以上のナスを収穫することができます。しかし、肥料が過剰になると「肥料焼け」という症状が発生し、根が傷んでしまうことがあります。これにより、水分や栄養が地上部に行き渡らなくなるため、適切な肥料管理が必要です。
