noteでは度々僕の好きな音楽について語っています。。
幼少期から好きな浜田省吾はマガジンとして分けていますが、ここ最近はApple Musicに加入して出会ったBring Me The Horizonの音楽についてよく紹介しています。
そこで今回はBring Me The Horizonを知った原点である『Ludens』について紹介します。
僕の人生にも多大なる影響を与えたゲーム『DEATH STRANDING』のために書き下ろされた曲です。

この曲はKOJIMA PRODUCTIONSのゲーム『DEATH STRANDING』にインスパイアされた楽曲です。
KOJIMA PRODUCTIONSのシンボルキャラクター「ルーデンス」の名を冠する楽曲で、実際にゲーム内でも聴くことができました。
疾走感のある非常にかっこいい曲となっています。
実際に来日した際の東京でのライブパフォーマンスの映像もあります。
独特の雰囲気のある曲ですね。
初めて聴いた時はかっこよさも感じつつ叫び上げるようなボーカルには少し苦手意識を感じていました。
この曲が収録されているアルバム『DEATH STRANDING: Timefall』は、ゲーム『DEATH STRANDING』にインスパイアされた楽曲を集めたアルバムです。
その中にはゲームのエンディング曲であるCHVRCHESの『DEATH STRANDING』も収録されていますし、どれもゲームの世界観を感じられる楽曲ばかりです。
その中で群を抜いてかっこよかったのがBring Me The Horizonの『Ludens』でした。
何度も聴くうちにこの曲の良さが分かってきまして、気づけば好きになっていた次第です。
その後Apple Musicに加入して、何となく新しい音楽を探そうと思ったのですが、その際に出てきたバンドが『Ludens』を歌っていたBring Me The Horizonだったのです。
偶然ではありますが、この曲との出会いが僕の音楽観を大きく変えてくれましたね。
全く聴かないジャンルではありましたが、お陰で新しい扉を開くことができました。
今では幼少期から好きな浜田省吾と並んで、Bring Me The Horizonは大好きなアーティストと胸を張って言えますね。
そんな出会いの曲がこの『Ludens』でした。

相変わらず好きな曲ですし、いつ聴いても非常にかっこいい曲です。
この曲も大好きですし、ゲームも大好きです。
