Busted『What I Go To School For』

『What I Go To School For』はBustedのデビューシングルにしてアルバム『Busted』の1曲目となっています。
タイトルを直訳すると『僕が学校に行く理由』となっており、学校の先生に恋をしてしまう内容の歌となっています。
まさにティーンエイジャーらしさの溢れる歌で、男の子なら誰もが夢見たような歌詞となっていますね。

ベストアルバムでもリメイクされていますし、『What I Go To School For 2.0』としてThe Vampsとコラボして歌い上げています。
イントロが完全に『Falling For You』なのがまた最高ですし、デビューから20年経っているので、歌詞の中のマッケンジー先生の年齢も33だったのが53になっています。
Bustedの遊び心を感じて思わず笑ってしまいましたね。
