Busted『Psycho Girl』

『Psycho Girl』はBustedの1枚目のアルバム『Busted』の6曲目。
割とスローめな曲ですが、タイトルがめちゃくちゃ恐ろしいです。
歌詞の中でも”my living nightmare”と称しているくらいなのがもう笑ってしまうくらいですね。

ですが、この曲を知った中学生の頃は英語力に乏しかったため、この曲の意味は全く分かりませんでした。
むしろサビの”psycho girl”が日本語で「最強ガール」と聞こえていましたし、そこだけ切り取って面白いとすら思っていましたね。
”psycho”もよく意味を知らず、ゲーム『MOTHER』の影響で「超能力」的な意味だと思っていました。
つまり、超能力を使える「サイキョー」な女の子が彼女なのです。
この解釈は全く逆すぎて笑ってしまいますね。

大人になった今だからこそめちゃくちゃ恐ろしい曲なの分かるのですが、歌詞を読んでも特にその具体的な内容は語られていないですね。
ちょっと意外でした。

この曲をよく聴いていた中学生の頃は面白い歌詞だと感じていましたが、大人になってちゃんと理解すると恐ろしい歌であることが分かりました。
