これまで何度か好きなBring Me The Horizonの音楽を紹介してきました。
Bring Me The HorizonはApple Musicに加入してから出会ったのですが、気に入ってからよく聴くようになりました。
これまで聴かなかったジャンルの音楽なので、出会った当時は新鮮でしたね。
今ではかなり好きになっています。
そんなBring Me The Horizonの音楽ですが、何となくで聴いているので実は歌詞だったりその歌の意味だったりを分かっていませんでした。
僕は英語は読めるし書けるけど、喋ったり聞いたりするのはあまり得意ではありません。
そんな意図もあって、最近になってBring Me The Horizonの音楽を紹介しがてら歌詞をまとめたりしているのです。
ということで、今回はBring Me The Horizonのアルバム『That's the Spirit』より『Drown』について。
初めて聴いた印象がBring Me The Horizonらしくなくて好きになった曲です。

曲名の『Drown』は「溺れる」という意味です。
調べると様々な人がこの歌の和訳を上げていますが、中々にエモーショナルな歌となっています。
曲自体もBring Me The Horizonお馴染みの激しい曲とは全く印象の違う曲となっています。
ミュージックビデオもものすごく印象的です。
改めて歌詞を見るとかなり刺さりますね。
以前に紹介した『Kingslayer』『Throne』と同じくらい好きな曲で、去年から何度も聴いています。
歌詞も音楽もかなりエモーショナルです。
『Kingslayer』だけは収録されているアルバムが違いますが、『Throne』と『Drown』が収録されているアルバム『That's the Spirit』は名曲が多くてかなり好きです。
昨年から何度も聴いていますし、今年に入ってからもよく聴いています。
今後もこのアルバムから何曲か紹介すると思います。

「エモい」とはまさにこの曲のことを言うのですね。
あまりBring Me The Horizonらしくない曲ですが、本当に大好きな曲です。
