The next thing we want to do is we want to put in a row total column “H” for real totals we want to make that really easy to do. So Ctrl+Shift+n will fill in a row total. You'll notice that the range that takes up is the correct one. The last column is called GJ in this model and a row total correctly picks up that range.

The last shortcut I am going to show you is it about creating links. As you can see, we're going to talk about why we do this but everything that we are using in our calculation is right next to the calculation itself, and all the ingredients. and these are all what we call links.

I'm just going to show you how to create these links because you're going to see us do it over and over and over again as we build up the model. Let me just go back in time to before I had this calculation in place. If I just snap my fingers and here we are, without any of the ingredients in place. I'm just going to show you how I got these ingredients in place.

Ok, so Year 1 maximum production and availability, those are on the input sheet so if I go back to the input sheet, here's my year 1 maximum production.Here's how we quickly create a link to that on the other sheet. Ctrl+c on the label, go back to the Ops sheet and then Ctrl+Shift+q. And it creates that link. So you can see if you're in the formula bar, this is now a link to that item on the input sheet. And a quick keystroke I’m going to come back and talk about this more. But if I wanted to jump back to where that came from, Ctrl+”[“ is going to do that. The next thing I want to do is copy that across, Ctrl+Shift+a. So in this case the Ctrl+Shift+a copy-across -macro, knows it is a constant and it stops here. So the only copies across to here.

Now my next two ingredients compound degradation and seasonality adjustment. These are on this sheet so if I just go up to here Ctrl+c, come back down again Ctrl+Shift+q, Ctrl+Shift+a. This time, the copy across automation knows that it's a time series line item and it's going to shoot up all the way across, similarly for my seasonality adjustment Ctrl+c, Ctrl+Shift+q, Ctrl+Shift+a.
