What are your thoughts on the Japanese Kit Kats being hijacked?
驚いた。海外で人気があることに。日本人が好きな味が。
値段もかなり高いはずなのに人気があるのがびっくり。
I was surprised at the popularity of the Kit Kats in a foreign country,especially japanese flavor, such as dark macha and sweat potato.
I think these are only accepted in Japan, and the japanese KitKats are also sold higher price than that of Japan.
So, It surprised me.

Do you find it surprising that there is a market for Japanese snacks in the US?
驚いた。お菓子は世界のどこでも作られていて対して違いはないと思っているから。キットカット以外にもあるのか？海外で人気のお菓子や味。
Yes, I do. Snacks are made from many countries, and I think there is no diffrence between each country snack.
So, I was surprised at the fact that Japanese snacks or Japanese flavor which are popular in  foreign countries.
After reading this article, I wonder there are other japanese snacks which are popular in foreign countries.

日本が低いのは想像通り。日本の企業は長い時間働くことが良いことだと思っている。プライベートより仕事。
でもアメリカとかヨーロッパなど経済的に強国がが高い順位にいないことは意外だった。
It is the same what I thought, Japan got low score on this report.
Many employees in Japan think that it is a good thing to work long time including working over time.
As a result, they think working time is more important than their private time.
I wonder that USA and Europe countries got low score on this report.

Do you think Japan's working culture will change in the near future?
変わらないと思う。トップダウンの色は強いし変わることに対して良い印象を持っていないから。
No, I don't. Because there still remain top-down culture which means that if your boss or CEO order employees to do something, they can't reject the order.
Another reason is the boss or the CEO don't accept new things because they are afraid of changing their traditional ways.

意外だった。人と話すことはストレスだと思う人は多いと思っていた。
なぜなら職場の同僚も人と話すことがストレスだという人が多い。彼らは休みの日はゲームをしたりして一人でいることが多い。
でも結果は違った。人と話すことでポジティブな気分になる。
I was surprised at this study’s findings.
Before I read this article, I believed that many people think that talking with a stranger will be a stress. Because some of my clleagues said that they feel stress when they talk to someone, so they usually spend their weekends playing the game alone.
However, this article said 'no'.
People get positive feelings to talk with someone.

ニュースアプリ。よく使います。大体1日1時間くらい。
特にIT系の記事をよく見ます。ITエンジニアだから最新の技術とかトレンドを知っておく必要があるんだよね。
最近は忘れないように日記に書いたりもしているよ。
News apps I spend most time. I use it between an hour and two hours a day.
Especially, I read the news about IT topics, because I'm a softwear engineer and it is neccesary to get the information about new technologies.

赤ワインはすべて頭痛を引き起こすと思っていた。記事を読むまで。
でも違った。日光をよく浴びたブドウから作られるものが頭痛を引き起こす。それは意外だった。
でもどうやって頭痛を起こすワインかどうか見分ければいいのかな？
I believed all red wine cause us headaches, before I read this article.
But it is not true.
The red wine which causes us headaches is made from grapes which are exposed to sunshine. I was surprised at this fact.
After reading this article, I wondered how we distinguish the wine which cause us headaches or not.

あります。赤ワインを初めて飲んだ時、すぐに頭痛がきた。
それ以来赤ワインを飲むことにビビってるし白ワインの方が好きになった。

I think a new era of four-day workweeks will not come true.
If the amount of our tasks doesn't change between before we use AI and after we use it, the new era may come true, but I think it is impossible.
Because the more effectively we work, the more task we will create.

Have you had a chance to use any generative AI tools for work?
あります。chat gpt。ソフトウエアエンジニアなのでプログラムをよく書きます。プログラムを書くときは色々調べます。gptを使う前はgoogleで検索していました。でもほしい情報を見つけるのにすごく時間がかかっていました。情報がとても多いから。ところがgptを使い始めてからこれにかかる時間はものすごく減りとても助かっています。
また時々chat gptにプログラムを作成させることがあります。複雑なロジックのものやアルゴリズムなど。
間違いもあります。でも一からプログラムを作るよりも間違いを直すほうが簡単です。これも助かっています。
Yes. I've used the chat gpt.I'm a softwear engineer so I often make programs.
When I make program, I search for information. Finding the information which I want to see took me a long time before I use chat gpt because theare are a lot of information on the internet.
However, using chat gpt makes it easier to find the information which I want to see. It's a big help.
I sometimes have the chat gpt make programs.
There are few mistakes in the program which is made by it, but fixing them is easier to make all program by myself.
This is also helpful.

What are your thoughts on China offering visa-free entry to six countries?
いい施策だと思う。ビザの廃止は観光客を増やしいい易経を与える。中国の経済に。パンデミックも終わり、旅行で海外へ行こうと思う人はますます増えていく。
なのでタイミングも良い。
In my opinion, this is good.
Offering visa-free entry improves the number of the people who visit China, and that will give a positive impact on the Chaina economy.
I also think that it is a good time to offer it, because the pandemic ended and more ane more people want to go abroad for trip.

Has the number of tourists in your country returned to pre-pandemic levels?
分からない。正確には。日本への海外からの観光客がコロナ前と同じくらいまで戻ったのかは。でも戻ったと思う。
先週末、電車に乗っている時多くの外国人観光客を見た。
また最近ちょうど観光客のニュース記事見たけど増えていると書いていた。
だからコロナ前と同じくらいまで戻っていると思う。

I think it's a good measure.
Smoking is only bad effect for our health, for example, cancer.
So this measure gives a positive impact on people's health.

Is smoking banned in most public places in your country?
Yes, it is.
In my country, People can smoke only  places which are permitted by cities, and recentry, the number of restaurant where people cannnot smoke has been increasing.
So the number on places we can smoke will be decreasing all over the world.

What are your thoughts on the study's findings?
I didn't know that the milk tea conatains the caffeine before I read this article.
we understand taking too much caffeine per day gives our health bad effects so we are carefully not to taking too much it, for example drinking a coffee.
However, we are not carefully to taking the milk tea and the bubble tea.
Especially bubble tea, It is popular among youg generaton and they recognized  it as like a juice and it is not danger for their health, so they may drink too much it per day.

Do you find it surprising that milk tea addiction may be associated with a risk of depression and anxiety?
Yes, I do. I often see the people in my offiece driking the milk tea.
I think that while they are working, they feel stress and they are exausted so the rate of causing bad effects from drinking it is increasing than other situation.
I should be carefully not to take too much coffea when i'm working.

How do tea and coffee fit into your daily routine?
I drink coffee all working day so it is five time to drink it per week.
I've never experienced carving it and I usually drink a bottle of coffee per day, so it is not too much.

What are your thoughts on the findings of this study?
おもしろかった。特に最後の部分。パンデミック前にリモートワーク経験していた人はリモートワークをすることに対して懸念を持っていること。
それは同僚と良い関係性を作ることが難しくなること。
私の会社もリモートワークを認めているのでたまにしています。
ただし、良い関係を築けていない人ととやり取りする時はとてもやりずらい。だから私も彼らと同じ意見です。
It was interesting, especially the last part of this article.
People who experienced remote work before the pandemic concern about working from their home.
They think it is difficult to make good relationships with colleagues by working from home.
Actually, my company permit us to work from our home, so I someteimes work from my home and then I think if there are no good relationships with my colleagues, it will be more difficult to work with them than working at the office.
So my opinion about this topic is the same as their's.

最も大きな欠点は仕事をしているかどうかわからないこと。
もし仕事終わりに何をしたのか報告するルールがなければ仕事中に仕事以外のことをすることができる。例えばゲームをしたり、テレビを見たり、外出したり。連絡が取れなくなることがあるのでこれは大きな問題です。
My opinion about the biggest drawbacks of remote work is that we can't know whether other people work or not during work.
If there is no rule to report on what they did while working, they could do any thing , for example, playing games, watchin gTV, going out and more.
Doing other things i during work s big a problem because wa can't contact with them when we are necessary to contact.

新しいスタイルのマックはユニークで面白い。
つまりお昼を過ぎてからはカフェに代わる感じだよね。フラペチーノやおかしなど新しいメニューを増やして。

The new fotmat restaurant is very unique and I think it is interesting.
It means that during mid-afternoon, the Mdconald transforms into a cafe and they sell various drink menu and snacks, likea churro frappe or a turmeric latte.
I wonder what new menus they will add.

Do you think CosMc's would be popular in your country?
Yes I do. I live in Tokyo, and there are many cafes, but most of them are crowded any times.
So the people who don't have their seats would be use CosMc's.
If they add  attracting menus like starbacks flappe, more and more people would use this and it would be popular in Japan.

Do you prefer using cash or card when traveling abroad?
カードを使います。なぜなら多くの場合カードを使う方が便利だから。例えば電車に乗るとき、切符を買う必要があるとどうやって切符を買うのか、正しい切符はどれなのか悩むことが多いです。
ところが海外ではカードで乗れる場合が多く、その場合私たちは乗るとき、降りる時ゲートでタップするだけでよくなります。
これはとても便利です。
また現金を多く持ち歩くと盗まれる可能性があるので危険です。
だから海外ではカードを使います。

I prefer using card when traveling abroad.
Because using card is convenient in many cases, for example, station.
It is nessary to buy the ticket before I get on the train, but I’ｍ often confused that how to buy the ticket, which is the correct ticket for my destination.
However there are many stations where I can get on the train only tapping my card at the gate before I get on or I get off.
This is very convenient.

I was surprised at the result of the suvey, because it showed that the number of using fake name accounts amnog man is even higher.

I think people should be allowed to use fake names on social media.
Because sometimes, people want to post about negative word on social media, but then they don't want to be watched by their friends or people who are known each other.
In that situation, fake names account is very useful.
Storing negative mind leads to bad health conditions, so it is very important to give people the way to relive their negative mind.

In my opinion, one of the most hardest thing about looking after a dog is your sleeping time.
They always get up early in the morning, between 5 am and 6 am from my experience and then they become active.

It is interesting.
I believed most of American people like events and they never have negative images of these seasons.
But the result of this survey was different from what I thonught.
About half of them feel stress in these seasons, for spending too much money.
One of the factor caused it is that many hotels, many shops, many restaurant are increasing the price in these seasons, so some people may  feel the stress from this.

ウィキメディア機構が発表したランキングでもっとも今年読まれたのはchat GPTだった。これは僕の予想と一致していた。記事を読む前の。
2番目に多かった年間死者リストについては、意外だった。
しかも2021年、2022年も5番目いないに入っている。なぜ最近多くの人がこれに対して関心をもっているのだろうか？
また意外だったのは大谷翔平がランクインしていなかったこと。
彼はメジャーリーグでも大活躍しており、世界に名が知れている。

What are your thoughts on Tesla's recall of over 2 million vehicles in the US?
知らなかった。この記事を読むまで。結構大きなニュースなのに。
たぶん日本でテスラがそんなに人気じゃないからだろうな。
実際、テスラの車乗っている人を日本で見たことないし。
テスラは優れたAIの技術を持っていると思ってる。でも今回のようにまだ完璧ではない。AIを使いこなすことはまだ難しいとは思うが、将来的に完全な自動運転が実現してほしいなと思う。
I didn't know about this news, I think this is why tesla is not popular car brand's in Japan.
I've never seen cars of tesla runnning the load in Japan.
I think tesla has advanced skill of using AI, but the system they made was not perfect. It is very difficult for us to use  AI well.

I think I would sell it.

この記事で言っているように紙の方がデジタルtextを読むよりも理解が深まるということには共感します。
この記事で言っているようにデジタルテキストは速く読めることが求められます。だから簡単な書き方やvocablaryしか使わず、難しい問題は記載されない。そのため表面しか理解できない。
また生徒が同じ時間readするときにprintかdezital textかによって理解に大きな差が生まれることには驚いた。
I agree this idea of this article which reading papers is better for comprehension than digital texts.
Digital texts are needed to read quickly so they use simpler text,style and they have simpler vocabraly.
For this reason, we can only understand about the surface of  the topic.
What I mean we can’t understand deeply.
I was surprised by the findings that when students read a text, there woule be a huge difference in comprehension depending on whether they choose print or digital text.

Do you take any steps to prevent yourself from getting sick in winter?
3つのことに取り組んでいます。
1つ目は適度な運動をすることです。
ランニング、ジムでのトレーニングを週に3度行っています。
2つ目は食事です。
健康的な食事は免疫を高めるためには必要不可欠だと思っています。
この記事でもVitaminDがpreventするためには重要だと言っていたのでこれからも続けます。
3つ目は換気です。
冬は寒くて家にいる時間が長く、また窓を開けることも少ないので空気がこもってしまいvirusが広まりやすい状態になってしまうので一日に最低3回は窓を開けて喚起するようにしています。

So I continue to get healthy meals as much as possible.
Thired, ventilation.
Winter is cold and we often stay at our home long time and then we rarely open the window to ventilate the air in the room.
It is bad because if we don't ventilate the air, the viruses easily spread in our room.
So I open the window to ventilate the air in my room at least three times a day to prevent my room from being filled by viruses.

What are your thoughts on the result of slack survey ?
特に印象的だったのは生産性の高い人は時間の管理にstrictだということ。
以前に読んだ本にも同じことが書かれていた。その本は生産性を高めるtipsを紹介する本。
それを読んでから私は時間を管理するように取り組んでいる。
特定のタスクをするためにブロックを作ったり、朝と夜にメールの確認をするなど時間を決めるようにした。
そうすると生産性が上がり、結果残業時間を減らすことができている。以前よりも。
Especially impressive things is that  high produtivity people manage their time strictly.
I read a book about introducing tips how to improve our productivity before and I've tried to manage my time since I read it.
For example, creating blocks to focuse on a specific task and checking emails at specific times.
To keep trying them, my productivity has been improving.
As a result , the amount of working extra hours  has been decreasing.

東京が今までtop10に入ったことがなかったのは予想外だった。
日本は海外から人気があるし、東京はその中でも人気なので。
有名な場所としては秋葉原、浅草が海外の旅行客から人気があると思う。
最近だと特に秋葉原が人気だと思う。アニメの人気がすごいから。鬼滅の刃、呪術廻戦。
それらのファンはそこへ行きたがっている。
また最も安全なのがマカオだという結果にも驚いた。
イメージとしては香港マフィアがあったので危険な国だと思っていたから。
The fact that Tokyo has never entered the top 10 by 2023 is unexpected because Tokyou is very popular among foreign tourists.

今月はdmmかは無料で提供さてれいるdaily newsというコンテンツを通勤中や移動中に読み、それについての感想や自分の考え、意見を英語で述べるということを行いました。
取り組んでみるとこれがい意外に難しく、日本語がいかにあいまいな言い回しをしているかを痛感しました。
ただ取り組みを続ける中で少しずつ成長を実感できる回数も増えてきました。
来月からはオンライン英会話も再開し、より英語に注力していきたいと思います。
