【8デリ】台北医科大生との交流会②/Exchange Programme with Taipei Medical University -part 2- 2024/6/28

Hello, I’m Towa Naruto from the Eighth Division at UTokyo Diligent: International Co-Creation Platform (ICCP). Today, I would like to report the late exchange programme held on the 25th of June with students from several faculties of Taipei Medical University (TMU), Taiwan.

Purpose

Before I start the description of the programme, allow me to introduce the objective of this programme. It was held by Diligent students on the occasion of TMU students’ visit in order to cultivate the relationship between each other.

Hato Bus tour in Tokyo

We were originally planning to go to the Hato Bus tour, but  it was cancelled due to the bad weather, so we switched to the plan B… The weather was not on our side! 😢

The bad weather…

Tokyo Night tour @ Soramachi

Instead of the Hoto Bus tour, we went to Soramachi, where we can enjoy shopping, eating, and sightseeing at Tokyo Sky Tree🗼 and Sumida Aquarium🐟.
We could enjoy very much!!😊

Below was the schedule↓
18:30-20:00 Sightseeing @Tokyo Sky Tree / Sumida Aquarium
20:00~ Dinner

🗼Tokyo Sky Tree🗼

From the deck at 350m high😳, we were able to look down the whole Tokyo city! The view was so amazing and we enjoyed talking about Tokyo.

The view from the top (a little bit cloudy)

The conversation got exciting when we chat about Japanese history and culture like manga or anime, and the difference between Japan and Taiwan! The most interesting fact was that the famous anime in Taiwan are a bit different from ours. While in Japan, serious/ adventurous anime is popular, it is cute and heartful anime which takes the popularity in Taiwan.
Actually I myself have never talked with Taiwanese so everything was fresh and interesting for me.

🐟Sumida aquarium🐟

The other group visited Sumida Aquarium. We enjoyed observing many lovely sea animals, sharing information about ourselves, and taking numerous pictures together. We exchanged knowledge about the sea animals of our homeland and the cultural significance of marine animals. I was surprised to know that Taiwanese sometimes eat jellyfish before main meal. It was a wonderful experience to share indescribable feelings with the TMU students.

Dinner

After having a nice tour, some of us had a dinner together!!

At last

Although we were a little buffeted by bad weather, I surely believe both Taiwanese and Japanese students had a unforgettable night!!

And at last, I would really love to appreciate the Professors and the Taiwanese students to give us such a wonderful event, and the UTokyo Diligent members for creating and livening up this tour!! Thank you all!
