異国の女王
Foreign country Queen

久郎衛(くろえ)はその情報を素直に喜んだが、私はそんな事を知っていることが少し怪しく思えた。
疑問を抱かずに信じる久郎衛に対して、私はイライラが抑えられず怒鳴ってしまった。

それを見ていた伯爵は自分の言った事で喧嘩をする私を見て申し訳なく感じたのか、その理由を教えてくれた。

伯爵が世界各地を巡っている理由、そしてたくさんの情報を集めている理由は、伯爵の住んでいる遠い異国の女王がそれを望んでいるからなのだと。

女王の身分で自由に出歩くこともままならない杏(あん)は何人かの人間を世界中に送り込み、彼らが体験してきた出来事の話を聞く事を何よりも楽しみにしているのだと言う。

それにより、人一倍の情報収集能力を身につける羽目になり、その中で九鬼(くき)将軍に関することにも詳しくなったのだとか。


Kuroe was honestly pleased with the information, but I found it a little suspicious that the Earl knew such a thing.
I couldn't control my annoyance and yelled at Kuroe, who believed without question.

The Earl, who was watching, felt bad seeing me fighting over something he had said, and told us why.

The reason why the Earl is traveling around the world and gathering so much information is because the Queen of the distant foreign country where the Earl lives wants him to do so.

As a queen, she is unable to travel freely, so she sends some people around the world to listen to the stories of what they have experienced.

As a result, he had to learn how to gather more information than other people, and in the process, he learned a lot about General Kuki.

国に縛られ退屈している女王の気持ちを考えたらなんだか切ない気分になってしまい、
些細なことで久郎衛にイラついてしまった自分を恥じて、彼に謝った。
けれど久郎衛は全く意に介していない様で、困ったよな顔をしただけだった。
伯爵はあの様に説明していたが、
実際のところは女王が情報を欲するのはそんな可愛い理由ではなく彼女の傍にいる存在が関わっているのだ。

しかしその時の私には知る由もない。

Ashamed of myself for getting irritated with Kuroe over something so trivial, I apologized to him.
But Kuroe didn't seem to mind at all, and just made a troubled face.
