Anime Review: Welcome to the NHK!

Since my summer vacation started, I didn't have any chance to write something in English, so I create that.

Recently, I have watched an anime named "Welcome to the NHK!".

This story focuses on a dark side of adolescence. The main character, Sato is ”Hikikomori”. He used to be a university student, but one day, he couldn't get out of his room. Expelled from the university, his future was getting dark.

However, he came across one girl, named Misaki. She was just a high school student, but she promised him that she made him normal. Since then, they met regularly at a park and Misaki taught Sato how to get out of "Hikikomori". Their relationship continued for about a year.

In this period, they experienced various events. One day, Sato tried to kill himself. The other day, he encouraged other "Hikikomori" to stop being a neat.

At last, Sato managed to get out of his condition, and started to work. Instead, Misaki who lost her role to change Sato suddenly disappeared.

Sato heard she was also "Hikikomori", and she relied on him. She kept sane by thinking she was the person worthy of living compared to him. However, Sato succeeded to get out of social trash, and she realized that she wasn't needed by anyone.

At last, Misaki went to a shore where she tried to throw herself into sea. However, Sato who has attributed everything he experienced to God explained her that every event at which she felt sad was caused by "the God". It's not because of herself. She shouldn't feel responsible for her unhappiness.

All of sudden, Sato ran toward sea saying "I'm gonna beat the God, instead of you!" And he  jumped into sea. Fortunately, he saved his life by the barricade around the shore, and Misaki also changed her mind, warrying about him.

In conclusion, this story doesn't have any drama. I suggest some scenes where the characters almost tried to die, but none of them couldn't carry out it. Most of their life was mundane. that unremarkable days cured these suffering people, gave our audience courage to spend our ordinary time as usual, or courage to change their tough time like being a neat into better one.
