Biei 美瑛

Just staring a simple note here on a Japanese site in English for no reason other than boredom. I have been to japan 7 times but Covid put a stop to that recently. I usually go to Japan to watch pro wrestling プロレス .Hopefully restrictions will be lifted soon so I can return.

For the first post I will write about my trip to Biei back in October 2017.  I was staying in Asahikawa 旭川 and took a train around 45 minutes to Biei station. There is a few bicycle rentals near the station and you should rent the electric bicycles to go around. I rented a normal bicycle and it is a challenge to cycle the uphill slopes. Its a good exercise though

In the afternoon I took the Biei view bus to see the Blue Pond 青い池 and surrounding areas including the flower fields.

If you have a car you can get around in half a day or so  ,but I was on a solo trip so preferred to take the bus/train route.
