Abstract
The Ohio State University has found that school uniforms don’t affect students’ social skills or behavior. They used data from 6,320 students from kindergarten to the final year of elementary school, or from about age 5 to age 10.
Even the students from low-income families in schools that require uniforms did have better attendance than no-require schools, but it was only less than one day per year. In addition, The researchers found that those who had to wear uniforms reported a lower sense of belonging, compared with students that attended schools that didn’t require uniforms.

What are your thoughts on the findings of this study?

When I was an elementary school student, I wasn’t required to wear the uniform. Thus I thought the school students who are required to wear uniforms at elementary schools went to private school.
However, after becoming a junior high school student, I hardly looked and knew the students who didn't have to wear uniforms. Although, I didn’t wonder about not wearing school uniforms at elementary school, and also wearing school uniforms at junior high and high school. However, most school uniforms tend to be costly, so I think it is better to be able to choose whether to wear the uniforms or not.
