Moderate Drinking Linked with Lower Heart Disease Risk

Abstract
For a while ago, moderate alcohol consumption could be linked with lower rates of heart disease by researching which was based on data from younger people.
However, the research indicated that relevance according to the data from more than 18,000 people over the age of 70. The study found that participants who drank more than 50 grams a week are at a lower risk of heart disease than people who didn’t drink at all.
However, the study authors note we should interpret these results carefully. Because most participants were all healthy with no history of heart disease, and may have been more physically and socially active than the rest of the older population.  


What are your thoughts on the findings of this study?

Such benefits about alcohol have been talked about for a long time. But it is sometimes used as an excuse or reason to drink while people who like to drink alcohol.
Actually, I think if a person doesn't drink alcohol and becomes stressed, it might be more harmful than drinking alcohol. But, I guess that just drinking alcohol doesn't bring health.
