     Where countless “I”s were growing,
     Lined up on each ridge

人によって見える幻が違うので何が見えるか互いに聞き合う               201102
     We ask each other,
     “What do you see?” as we see
     Different illusions

もし銀河が回転をしているのなら中心へ星を引く力がある                   201102
     If a galaxy is
     Rotating, some attraction is
     Working at the center

たいていの星は草食　流れ星は肉食でたまにさっと狩をする               201103
     Most of the stars are
     Herbivores, but shooting stars
     Are swift hunters

ミカンたちに「レモン！」と叫ぶ　ミカンたちはぐぐぐと伸びてレモンをまねる　                                                                                                     201106

     “Lemon!” Stretching themselves, they
     All mimic a lemon

     The constellation
     Shoots all at once, and then
     Reappears gradually

ヒトデたちが夜の浜辺で起き上がり手を取り合ってダンスを楽しむ    201109
     On the beach at night,
     Starfish get up and, joining hands,
     Enjoy dancing

夕方に地上から空へ　明け方に空から地上へ　星が行き来する　        201110
     From the earth to the sky
     In the evening, contrariwise
     At dawn, the stars shift

ざらざらとした星空に削られて　滑らかな青い空に磨かれて               201111
     By the granular
     Starry sky, abraded; polished
     By the smooth blue sky

かろうじて足首をつかみ本の中へ呑み込まれていく人を引き留めた   201111       I caught a person
     By the ankle, who was being
     Gulped down by a book

ぴょんと跳ねて星から星へ飛び移る遊びを空でいつまでもする           201111
     Jumping from star to star
     In the sky: they never get
     Tired of the play

     Stretching their long tongues
     Like lightning, chameleons
     Catch and eat shooting stars

箱のような月が出ている　蓋を少し開けて何かが地球を見ている        201114
     From a box-like moon,
     Something is peeping at the earth,
     Lifting the lid a bit

何回か頭を左右に振るだけで忘れたいことの記憶を消せる                   201117

     A few times, I can forget
     What I want to forget

ぬめぬめとした者たちに持ち上げられ横たわったまま運ばれていく    201119
     As I lay, slimy things
     Lifted me up, and have been
     Carrying me somewhere

このボールは投げても手元に戻ってくる　「真上に投げりゃ戻ってくるでしょ」                                                                                                          201119
     “This ball returns when thrown.”

     Vertically upward”

螺旋状に空に上っていった後水平飛行を始める人々                             201119
     People spiral upward
     To the sky, and begin to fly
     Horizontally

鳥籠の中の銀河が退屈し煙のように外へ出て行った                  　　　 201120
     A galaxy
     In a birdcage got bored, and
     Has gone out like smoke

その本を開くと雨が降り始める　本を閉じると急に雨がやむ               201120
     Whenever the book is
     Opened, it begins to rain.
     When closed, it stops raining

生き物がサナギのように月を割って出てきてじっと羽を乾かす           201123
     Breaking the moon
     Like a chrysalis, a creature
     Comes out and dries its wings

病んだように赤い斑点がぽつぽつと現れた空　うめき声もする           201125
     Scarlet spots have appeared
     Over the blue sky, which groans
     As if in sickness

何者かが二つに折った青空を広げたけれど折り目が残った　               201126
     Someone folded
     The blue sky in two. When opened,
     It had a fold on it

文字のような形の雪が降ってくる　文字の形を保って積もる               201127
     Letter-like snowflakes
     Are falling and stay on the ground,
     Each still letter-like

人間を笑うクラゲが発生し岸から石を投げられたりする                      201128
     Angered by jellyfish
     Which laugh at humans, they throw
     Pebbles from the shore

虹に投げたナイフが刺さる　すると虹は急速に消えナイフも消えた    201129
     The knife I threw stuck
     Into the rainbow, which vanished
     Together with the knife

夜空へ手をその人は振った　星々は倍の明るさで輝き始めた               201129
     When the person waved
     To the night sky, the stars all
     Doubled their brilliance

威嚇する獣のように書架じゅうの本が私が近づくと唸る                      201129
     Whenever I approach
     The shelf, all the books snarl
     Like beasts, menacing
