砂時計の砂粒たちは狭い穴を通って落ちるスリルが好きだ　　　　　　　　　　
     All the grains of sand
     In an hourglass love the thrill
     Of falling through the neck

虹を揉んでマッサージする　ありがとう、またねと言いつつ虹は消えていく　　
     To be massaged by me,
     Rainbows appear. They fade away,
     Saying “Thank you. See you”

人類は有袋類の遺伝子を取り込み腹部に袋を作った　　　　　　　　　　　　　
     Humans have taken
     Marsupial genes and acquired
     A pouch on their belly

人間に本末テントウムシが留まり本末転倒したことをさせる　　　　　　　　　
     Root-and-branch-ladybirds,
     Settling on humans, make them put
     The cart before the horse*

     *In Japanese, there is a proverbial phrase “honnmatsu-tenntou”, which means “putting the cart before the horse,” while “a ladybird” is “tenntou-mushi” in Japanese. “Honnmatsu” can also be expressed as “root and branch,” so root-and-branch-ladybirds do such things as above.

そんなにも速く飛んだら摩擦熱で燃え尽きちゃうよ　うん、気をつけるよ　　　
     “If you fly so fast,
     The friction heat will burn you out.”
     “Yeah, I'll be careful”

猫のように時々大きく伸びをしてまた元どおりになるピラミッド　　　　　　　
     At times, pyramids stretch
     Themselves like a cat and return
     To their normal shape

記憶として未来のことを知っているが知らない振りをして生きている　　　　　
     I remember what will
     Happen in the future, but
     I pretend ignorance

ヘッドフォンで音楽を聴いてヒマワリがリズムに合わせ身体を動かす　　　　　
     Listening to music
     Through headphones, the sunflower beats
     Time with its whole body

虹のまた向こうにも虹、彼方までさらに虹、虹　虹のトンネル　　　　　　　　
     Rainbow after rainbow,
     Endlessly to the distance,
     A tunnel of rainbows

多面体の頂点ごとに顔がありそれぞれ何かつぶやいている　　　　　　　　　　
     Each vertex of
     A polyhedron has a face,
     Which is murmuring

その小鳥が肩に留まると手が勝手にキーボードを打ち文章を書く　　　　　　　
     Whenever the small bird
     Settles on my shoulder, my hands
     Type out strange sentences

どの人も猫顔になり悪夢感が最初あったがそのうちに慣れた　　　　　　　　　
     Everybody has got
     Cat-faced. Nightmarish at first, but
     I have got used to it

gたちが罪もないのに捕らえられ次々首をはねられていく　　　　　　　　　　
     Though quite innocent,
     g’s are captured and beheaded
     One after another

罠にかかり消えられないでいた虹を助けたら後で恩返しされた　　　　　　　　
     I saved a rainbow that
     Was trapped and couldn’t disappear.
     It returned my favour

つり革にとまって本を読んでいる通勤電車の中のひまわり　　　　　　　　　　
     A sunflower was
     Reading a book, holding on
     To a strap in a train

薔薇の花が口の両端に一輪ずつ咲いてしまってキザっぽく見える　　　　　　　
     Two roses have bloomed, 
     One at each end of my mouth,
     Making me look foppish

ウェーヴをやってみようということになり銀河じゅうの星がウェーヴ　　　　　
     Having decided to
     Do Mexican wave, the whole
     Galaxy tried it

灯っている蝋燭を見ると小鳥が来て翼で扇いで吹き消して遊ぶ　　　　　　　　
     When a small bird sees
     A lit candle, it blows it out,
     Fanning with its wings

その文字は制御不能になって殖え生態系への脅威になった　　　　　　　　　　
     Getting out of control,
     The letter spawns, threatening
     An ecosystem

マネキンに人体模型が「私には内臓がある」と自慢している　　　　　　　　　
     An anatomical
     Model shows off its internal
     Organs to mannequins

腕のある雲が鯨を抱え上げる　鯨は驚きじたばたしている　　　　　　　　　　
     A cloud with arms
     Holds up a whale, which, startled,
     Wriggles and struggles
