What is hero?

I have loved heroes since I was a little girl, and after I started studying English, I got hooked on Marvel's heroes. Endgame makes me cry no matter how many times I watch it. But when I grew up, I also noticed the appeal of Batman.

I love Christopher Nolan's movies, and every time I watch his movies, I'm curious how he made those movies. It makes too much sense in a film that is so otherworldly. There is a sense of reality in the unreal. I watch his Badman series with a different fascination, and the more I watch it, the more impressed I am.

Why do we all admire and love heroes? Is it because it is cool to see them defeat their enemies? Because they are allies of justice?

I think that each of us has different feelings about heroes. Some people want to be the hero, and some want to be protected by the hero.

One of my favourite scene in "The Dark Night Rises," Gordon said  "Shouldn't the people know the hero who saved them?" Then, Batman said back to him "A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended."

I bet that's what being a hero is all about. It could be a parent, a sibling, a friend, a co-worker, or a lover.

I want to be someone's hero. I may not be able to accomplish great things in my lifetime. But I want to be someone's hero and save someone else's life, even if it is only within a 50-meter radius. Because I have been saved a lot by someone, my heroes as well.

Who is your hero? I am sure that when you think of that person, you will feel as if your heart is lit just a little bit on fire.
