English or Japanese Language

If you are keen to learning English as a Japanese person, I believe you encounter walls of difficulties to proof your English proficiency. Even though you learn really hard, if you chose a wrong way, you cannot satisfy with your English. So what is needed to get rid of this issue.

One thing for sure is that most Japanese people have their own ideals for how they'd like to speak English. For example, one might want to speak like completely similar to people whose first language is English. Other might want to know lots of vocabulary as one's hobby. Others hope to be able to communicate with English speaking people without misunderstanding. 

The crucial tip is how you want to be like. For me, I want to keep holding Japanese spirits, even when I speak English. So what I think now is that I acknowledge that my first language is Japanese, meaning there's lots of possibilities that my English could be misunderstood. So I don't have to worry about my proficiency while speaking English as it has to be taken for granted. 

My way of learning English is to listen and read English stuffs as many as I can even though I could not comprehend them at first time. I learn new phrases at the time to grasp the meaning by guessing and looking up them.
