The Great Statue of Buddha is Blind

“The great statue of Buddha is blind. It requires a surgery,” Mr. Hosono in a brown suits proclaimed and showed us a dissection diagram of the statue’s eyeball. The diagram showed how the black iris part of eyeball was constructed with layers of various Japanese letters (katakana) in black font and it was covering the most of the lower half of the sphere. I told him how another great statue of Buddha near Matsudo station was once repaired when its nose was plugged and how the repairing method could possibly be applied to the case at hand, looking at the giant sized eyeball of the Buddha covered by blood stained bandages.
