Takram Life #1: Megumi Kanno

Takramでは現在、WFH（Work From Home）をメインに働いています。Takramメンバーがどのように自身の働き方や暮らしをデザインしているのかをのぞいてみましょう。

With the demands brought about by the pandemic, we are mainly working from home. Let’s take a look at how Takram’s members design their life and working style.

広告代理店で、ストラテジックプランナーの経験を経てTakramにジョイン。Takramでは、ビジネス、ブランド・サービス立ち上げのコミュニケーションデザインを担当。

She joined Takram, after working at an advertising agency as a strategic planner.At Takram, she is a representative business designer, and is also in charge of communication design when some business or brand starts up.

How do you design your working style?

今年からスケジュールをよりきちんと管理するようになりました。
朝7時から9時、昼の12時から14時はスケジュールをブロックしてミーティングなどは入れないようにしています。ブロックした時間はランニングや食事、読書、勉強などその日の気分に合わせて組み込んでいます。自宅で仕事をするようになってからランニングをスタートしました。メリハリが少なくなった環境で思考の整理やブレイクスルーに役立っています。

I have been managing my time effectively because of the Coronavirus pandemic.I blocked my schedule from 7AM to 9AM and 12AM to 2PM, so that I won't have any meetings. I use this available time for running, eating lunch, reading books , studying, etc., depending on how I feel that day.I started running when I started working from home. It helps me organize my thoughts and have breakthroughs in an environment that is less structured.

What is your particular work space?

最近はお花屋さんにいくのが日常の自分のタスクになりました。お花があると空間が明るくなるので欠かせない存在です。多肉植物も育てています。

Lately, I usually go to a flower shop. Flowers are indispensable because they brighten up the space. I also grow succulents.

万年筆を愛用しています。インクは蔵前にある文具店「カキモリ」の「月夜」がお気に入り。「The Bank」という映画を見て、積み上げていくことの大切さを実感し最近はしっかりメモを取るように意識しています。

I love using fountain pens. My favorite ink is "Tsukiyo" from ”Kakimori”, a stationery store in Kuramae. After watching a movie called "The Bank", I realized the importance of accumulation and have been making a conscious effort to take notes.

What is your recommended book?

Takramでは、メンバーの学びを全面的にバックアップするために「Book Purchase」という制度があり、自由に書籍を購入することができます。他のメンバーがどんな本を買っているのかをSlackチャンネルで全員が見ることができ、その時の興味関心を垣間見ることができます。

At Takram, we have a "Book Purchase" system to fully support the learning of our members, allowing them to freely purchase books at their own expense. All members can see what books other members are buying on our Slack channel and get a glimpse of their interests at the same time.

「日々の政治」です。政治というタイトルですが、コミュニケーションやデザイン、ソーシャルイノベーションの話がメインです。Takramの渡邉 康太郎さんに教えてもらいました。

It is ”Politics of everyday".
Although the title is about "politics", it is mainly about communication, design and social innovation.This book was recommended to me by Kotaro　Watanabe of Takram.

何度も読みたい本は紙で購入。感想や要約を本に書き込んで、数ヶ月後に読み返してその時に自分が感じたことを振り返るのが好きです。

The books that I want to read over and over again are hardbound. I like writing my impressions and summaries in the book, and then rereading it a few months later to reflect on what I felt at that time.

What do you like about Takram？

違和感の表明ができることと、それを受け入れてもらえる環境があること。違和感はクリエイティブの根元になっていると思うので、言葉になる前の違和感も共有しやすい環境が好きです。

To be able to express my feelings and to have an environment that accepts it. I think that a sense of discomfort is the root of creativity, so I like an environment where it is easy to share these sentiments before they are put into words.

What interests you now？

パンが大好きで、自粛期間中はパンを焼く機会が増えました。写真はベーグルですが、なんだかムチムチで、我が子のように愛おしみながら食べました。笑 　また、こんな時期ですが今年は色んな人と会話をして自分自身の視野も広げたいなと思っています。

I love bread, and during the lockdown, I had more opportunities to bake bread. The photo is a bagel, it was kind of whipped and I ate it with love like my own child. LOL!　I also want to broaden my horizons by talking with many people this year.

本に感想を書き込んでいることがとても印象的でした。今の自分が感じたことを、半年後の自分が見つめ直す。なんかこれ、素敵ですよね！？
自分自身で成長を実感できるし、振り返ることで新たな発見を得ることもありそうです。コロナによって急速に進んだ働き方の変化は、私たちに大きな利便性と、未来の可能性を示してくれました。一方で、人との繋がり方や育成方法など、新たな課題も見えてきています。良くも悪くも、誰かと比べたり、直接的に評価やアドバイスを得る機会が減っている今。自分自身で、自分を振り返るということがより大切になってくるのではないでしょうか。時代に合わせた、自己成長を実感する素敵なアイディアを教えてもらいました。私も真似してみます！めぐさん、ありがとうございました！
