＃40 お茶室での茶道体験ストーリー

今日は初めて奈良で茶道体験をしました。
あらたまったお茶会ではありませんので、どうぞ気楽になさってください、というお声かけをしていただき、亭主のお心遣いが感じられました。
茶道体験はあちこちで行われていますが、今日は本当に家庭的で、くつろげるよい時間となりました。

しかし亭主が心を込めて選んでいただいた茶道具、お花、お菓子、掛け軸、絵、お庭の手入れ、お部屋の内装まですべてが本日の茶会のテーマを作り上げる総合芸術です。茶道は本当に奥が深いものだと知りました。

The tea ceremony is considered as the traditional Japanese art of serving and drinking powdered green tea called maccha. In the tearoom, there are some items the tea master choose to express hospitality.
茶道は抹茶を点ててのむ日本の伝統芸術で、お茶室には亭主が道具を選びおもてなしを表しています。

A hanging scroll is the most important item in the tearoom. It indicates a theme of the ceremony. And a flower arrangement looks simple but this shows season and nature in Japan. You can see Japanese people treasure each season and moment.
掛け軸はお茶会のテーマを表す重要アイテムです。お花はシンプルですが日本の季節や自然を表しています。日本人が季節やそれぞれのひとときを大切にしていることがわかるでしょう。

All items in the tea room including tea utensils and tea bowls have the profound message. It could reach guest's mind.
茶道具やお茶碗など茶室のすべてのものに亭主が伝えたい思いがこめられています。その心がお客さまに届けられるのです。

The son of the tea master cleaned this garden for today's tea ceremony. It is said that tea masters have to care for each tree and tea leave to be cleaned for their tea ceremony. I feel grateful for the host's warm hospitality.
今日のお茶会のために亭主の息子さんがお庭をきれいにしてくれたそうです。どのお茶会でも葉の一枚一枚まで気を配るそうです。その心遣いに感激しました。
