部活動は強制されるものではない

■部活動は強制加入されるものではない 　

　2022年11月、中学校の運動部活動に入部している生徒の割合が、37の道県で過去最低になったとするNHKの調査が発表されました。全国の平均は59.6％であり、最も低かったのは50.7％の奈良県、次いで51％の長野県でした。部活動への強制加入を見直した学校が増えていることが影響していると考えられますが、そもそも学習指導要領で「生徒の自主的、自発的な参加により行われる」と明記されている部活動は、強制加入されるものではありません。

　部活動は自由参加で「やりたい子だけがやればいい」。強制的にやらせる現在でも運動部は生徒の半分くらいしか参加していない。自由化したら1割程度に減るのではないのかな？先生も生徒も楽になるから良い傾向です。

　どんな立派な目標も「強制」になったらお終い。独裁国家じゃあるまいし、何の権限で生徒に命令しているんだろう？学習指導要領でも「自発的」と書いてあるのに、校長も教頭も教師も自分が王様になったかのように命令口調で言う。

「部活動は強制です」

　ふざけんじゃないよ。あなたが学校のルールか。日本は法治主義の国だぞ。教師のくせにそんなことも分らんの？

「スポーツは人格形成に役立つ」と言われるが、本当なのだろうか。名桜大学の大峰光博准教授は「部活に入る大学生の半数が相手への侮辱やブーイングを許容するという研究結果がある。スポーツは社会性を涵養するような上等なものではない」という――。

　別に学者や研究者が調べるまでもない。私は３０年以上、中学生や高校生の受験指導を行わせてもらってきたが

「運動部に所属している生徒の方が、そうでない生徒より素行が悪い傾向がある」

　というのは、明らかな事実だ（もちろん、個人差は大きいが）

　You've got to be kidding me. Are you the rule of the school? Japan is a country with the rule of law. You're a teacher, don't you know that?

Sports always help build character" is a lie... Shocking data shows that athletes disregard rules more than other athletes.
It is said that "sports help build character," but is it true? Associate Professor Mitsuhiro Omine of Meio University says, "Research shows that half of university students who participate in club activities tolerate insults and booing of their opponents. Sports are not a superior way to cultivate social skills.

　I don't need another scholar or researcher to find out. I have had the privilege of coaching junior high and high school students for over 30 years.

It is a clear fact that "students who are members of athletic teams tend to behave worse than those who are not.

　This is a clear fact (although, of course, it varies greatly from person to person).
