I’m listening to the 18th Chopin Piano Competition. 
It is interesting, many competitors come and go after playing the same Chopin pieces. 
Actually, I have mixed feelings about the piano, and not feel easy to listen to the sounds. 
But I like Chopin. When someone plays his piece well, it sounds twinkling like the stars on the white and black keys. It's so fun to listen to. And they have a kind of tangible beauty, like a painting.
Then, to talk about the competition, probably not all of the competitors are trained enough yet. But even the people who have fantastic techniques rarely have something touching in their sounds. It's so strange, but a perfect play is sometimes less attractive than a play with mistakes. 
Of course, I’m an amateur, know nothing about music, so my impression isn’t accurate as a music impression, but at least I felt so.

When I was 5, my mother forced me to practice that instrument instead of the violin, which I started in 3 y/o, and I hated to practice it because I loved to play outside. 
Both of them are too difficult for me, and no attraction at all because they always sound awful with me, but if I had listened to his pieces back then, I might have been motivated to practice a little harder.(though still I loved to go out better lol).
