自然と野生動物の魅力を追い求めて
みなさんこんにちは、ソライトです。
ぼくは趣味としてたまに写真を撮ったりしているのですが、最近になってずっと前から欲しかった「SONYの200-600mm超望遠ズームレンズ」を買いました。
そして今回の内容は、なんで「200-600mmの超望遠レンズ」を買ったのか、今後noteに投稿する内容も撮影した写真を交えることもあると思うので、今後どういったことを投稿するのかの模索した内容を共有したいと思います。
撮り続けたい
ふだん撮影する被写体は、アウトドア活動の様子や自然の風景写真などが多く、例えば今は全く行けていないですがキャンプをしている様子や使っているキャンプ道具の写真、ハイキングに行った時には紅葉している木々の様子や山頂からの風景、あとは星景写真も撮ったりしています。

そうやって自然の中で撮影していると野鳥や鹿などの野生動物、トンボやチョウチョなどの昆虫、珍しいと言われている草花を見ることも多くて、それもあってか自然と野生動物や昆虫、草花などの動植物をもっと撮りたいという気持ちが強くなっていきました。
当初は、初めてカメラを買った時に一緒に買ったレンズが28-200mmのレンズで望遠端が200mmなので、ある程度、距離のある被写体であってもけっこう寄れて撮れていたんですが、それは身体が大きい鹿などの動物に限られていて、身体の小さい野鳥や、それ以上に小さい昆虫を撮影する時には、ほぼいつも、「もうちょっと寄れたらなぁ」という気持ちがありました。
撮影後の編集作業で写真をトリミングしたりして理想に近づけてはいたんですが、そうすると、画像が粗くなってしまったりするので、作品としてはあまり良くなかったんですよね。
そういったこともあってずっと欲しい気持ちはあったんですけど、値段も安い訳ではないですし買うか買わまいか迷っていました。
そうやって悩んでいる間にも、YouTube等で野生動物の話や撮影している様子を見ていたり、外に出かける時に見る野鳥などに強く惹かれるものがあって、今後自分自身が撮り続けたい被写体というのが、より自然の風景であったり、野生動物などの動植物なんだなぁという確信が出てきたんですよね。
そうやって撮影する被写体の方向性も定まって来たのかなと思うし、今後の人生変わらず写真を撮り続けると思うので、それならという事で買うことに決めました。
なので今回新しく買った超望遠レンズが今後どんな世界を見せてくれるのかがすごく楽しみです。

今後撮りたい被写体
ぼくが住んでいる県は宮崎県なんですが、宮崎県でもフクロウが観れるということで必ずフクロウを撮ってみたいですし、タカなども撮ってみたいです。
前述した鹿やトンボなどの昆虫も新しいレンズで撮ってみたいですし、管理された湿原などでしか見れない花や植物は、どうしても近づいて撮れなくて、いつももどかしい気持ちだったので、今まで理想の画角で撮れなかった被写体を撮り直ししていきたいと思っています。
今回は動植物に焦点を当てているんですけど、超望遠レンズは他にもいろんな被写体が撮れて、分かりやすいので言えば例えば、航空機の写真だったり、超望遠レンズで撮影すると圧縮効果というのが得られるんですが、それで月とお城の写真を撮ったりと、そんなに撮れる被写体がないと思われがちなんですが、けっこうあるので動植物以外にもたくさん撮っていきたいと思います。
今後「note」で投稿する内容
今回は新しいレンズを買ったという話から、今後撮りたい被写体について共有してきました。
そして今後このnoteの投稿が前述した内容に関することも多くなるのかなと思います。
このnoteでは主に英語に関することを共有していますし、ぼく自身、今年の英語学習に関する抱負は「アウトプットを増やす」という事が念頭にあるので、撮影した写真を元にその写真についてや撮影時の様子などを英語を交えて共有することが多くなるのかなぁと思います。
今回は今までに買ったレンズと最近買ったレンズについて共有させて貰いました。
このノートのサムネイルは自分で描いた絵が中心だったんですが、撮影した写真をそのままサムネイルにすることもあると思います。
一つの形に捉われずいろんな形を試していきたいと思います。

Initially, the lens I bought with my first camera was a 28-200mm lens, which allowed me to get reasonably close to subjects even at a distance, but this was limited to larger animals like deer. For smaller subjects like birds or even smaller insects, I often wished I could get a bit closer.
Even though I tried to get closer to my ideal shot by cropping photos during post-editing, this sometimes resulted in lower image quality, which wasn't ideal for my work.
I've always wanted a better lens, but its high cost made me hesitate.
However, watching videos on YouTube about wildlife and feeling drawn to birds I saw while out and about reinforced my desire to continue capturing subjects in nature, such as landscapes and wildlife.
This clarity on what I want to capture and the realization that I'll continue photography throughout my life led me to decide to buy the lens.
I'm very excited to see what new worlds this super-telephoto lens will reveal to me.
Subjects I Want to Capture in the Future
I live in Miyazaki Prefecture, where you can see owls, so I definitely want to photograph them, as well as hawks.
I'm looking forward to capturing deer, dragonflies, and other insects with my new lens, as well as flowers and plants that can only be seen in managed wetlands, which I've always found frustratingly difficult to approach and capture as I'd like.
While my focus now is on fauna and flora, the super-telephoto lens allows for a wide range of subjects, such as airplanes and photos of the moon and castles through its compression effect. It might seem like there aren't many subjects to shoot, but there are plenty, so I plan to capture a lot beyond nature.
Future Posts on note
This post has shared why I bought a new lens and the subjects I want to capture. I expect future posts on this note to often relate to these topics. I usually share about English on this note, and this year, my goal for learning English is to "increase output," so I plan to share more in English, including descriptions and circumstances of the photos I take.
This time, I've shared about lenses I've purchased in the past and my recent purchase. Though my note's thumbnails have been primarily my drawings, I plan to use my photos as thumbnails as well.
I want to explore various forms without being confined to one.
