マーケティング能力のないAmzon music担当者がAmazon Music PRIMEアプリを改悪したのでspotifyに切り替えた
通勤で利用する駅ビルに流れる音は、何年間も同じままである。
よくあるクラシックやポピュラー音楽でなく、独自の音である。音楽と言うよりはノイズに聞こえる。
近くで唯一の本屋があって、時々は行っていたのだが、このノイズが嫌で、そのビルにはずっと立ち入らないようにしている。
さて、先日突然、iPhoneのAmazon Music PRIMEアプリのサービス内容が変わった。
それまでは、利用者の選んだ曲をそのまま聴くことができたのだが、それとは別の、「Amazonが勝手に選んだ曲」を交えてシャッフル再生されるようになった。
何の予告もなく、だ。
事前にマーケット調査をしたのだろうか？
多分していなかっただろう。
だからリリース後、Amazonにはクレームがたくさん来たのだろう。「購入済み楽曲において、曲の選択再生およびスキップが可能」になる修正を慌てて行うくらいだから。
私にとって、そのような押し付けられた音は、せいぜいコマーシャルにしか思えない。あるいはノイズである。
ラジオを時々聞くことはあるが、これは私が選んだものであるから、内容が面白くなければ、切り替えるかオフにするだけである。
有料のサービスで、余分なものを押し付けられる筋合いはない。
私が通勤時に聞く曲は大体決まっていて、そのAmazon music PRIMEの音楽を聴きながら、「さあ、今日もいっちょ、やってやろうか」と思ったものである。
それがいきなりノイズにまぶされてしまった。
そこで、Amazon music PRIMEのアプリは消して、代わりに、自分の持っている音楽のデータを入れた。
最近は週に１回の通勤時にしかiPhoneの音楽を聴かないので、これで十分である。
ところで、この仕様変更は、今のところＰＣには及んでいない。
デスクトップ版Amazon Music(Windows)では、選んだ曲をそのまま再生できる。シャッフルされないし、ノイズも入らない。

ＰＣで、デスクトップ版Amazon Musicを起動すると、
一億曲が聞き放題
とか
新しいバージョンがあります
などというメッセージが表示された。うっかりクリックすると、iOSと同様の、劣化した仕様のアプリに書き換えられる可能性があるので、バージョンアップはしないでおこう。
一方、今までサービスに入っていなかった曲も選べるようになった。詳しく言うと、以前、Amazon music PRIMEに入っていたのに、対象外となった曲を、ＰＣでまた聞けるようになった。たぶん、こういうことだと思う。
特定の曲をAmazon music PRIMEの対象とするかしないかを、Amazon musicの担当者は管理している。自動的にそれを行うか、人が判断しているかはわからないが、そのような手間を省きたいと彼らは考えたのかもしれない。ただ、そうするとAmazon music PRIMEとAmazon Music Unlimitedとの差がなくなるので、iPhoneで聞ける、Amazon music PRIMEの曲をシャッフルさせるようにしたのだろう。
彼らがどう考えたにせよ、私にとって、自宅にいる時間が多い、今の状況では、ＰＣでのサービスはこのままであってほしいと思っている。

ＰＣのアプリをバージョンアップしていないが、目当ての曲の再生が少し面倒になった。

ＰＣでの再生も、すべてシャッフルになってしまった。ノイズの入らないspotifyの無料プランを使い始めた。
Amazon Music PRIME app has been corrupted by Amazon music rep without marketing skills, so I started using spotify.
The sound of the station building I use to commute has remained the same for years. It's not the usual classical or popular music, it's a unique sound. It sounds more like noise than music. There's the only bookstore nearby, and I used to go there from time to time, but I hate the noise, so I've been avoiding going into that building.
Well, the other day, suddenly, the service content of the iPhone's Amazon Music PRIME app changed. Until then, it was possible to listen to the songs selected by the user as they were, but now they are shuffled with "songs randomly selected by Amazon".
Without any warning.
Did they do market research beforehand?
Probably not.
That's probably why Amazon got so many complaints after the release. That's because Amazon is rushing to make a fix that makes it possible to play selected songs and skip songs that have been purchased.
To me, such forced sounds seem commercial at best. Or noise.
I listen to the radio occasionally, but it's my choice, so if I don't like the content, I just switch or turn it off. There is no reason to impose extra on a paid service.
The songs I listen to during my commute are mostly decided, and while listening to the music of Amazon music PRIME, I thought, "Well, let's beat it again today." It was suddenly covered with noise.
So I deleted the Amazon music PRIME app and put in my own music data instead. These days, I only listen to music on my iPhone when I commute once a week, so this is more than enough.

When I start up the desktop version of Amazon Music on my PC, "Unlimited listening to 100 million songs" or "There is a new version" is displayed.
If you click carelessly, the app may be rewritten with degraded specifications similar to iOS, so I will not upgrade.
On the other hand, it became possible to select songs that were not included in the service until now. To be more specific, I was able to listen to songs that were previously included in Amazon music PRIME but were not covered on my PC again. I think that's probably what it is.
Amazon music representatives control whether certain songs are eligible for Amazon music PRIME or not. I don't know if it's done automatically or if it's decided by people, but they may have wanted to save that kind of trouble. However, in doing so, the difference between Amazon music PRIME and Amazon Music Unlimited disappears, so it seems that Amazon music PRIME songs that can be listened to on the iPhone are shuffled.
No matter what they think, in the current situation where I spend a lot of time at home, I would like the PC service to remain as it is.

I haven't upgraded the PC app, but it's been a little troublesome to play the songs I want.

Playback on PC is also all shuffle. I started using spotify's free plan without noise.
