『あの病気』の感染拡大の前と後の私の生活　：その１５　眼科検診を受けました

先日、眼科検診のため御茶ノ水まで行ってきました。
もう１０年以上通っている眼科医院で、毎年視野検査を受けるのです。いつも予約が込み合っていて、大体２ヶ月は待たされます。
１１月なので、寒いかもと思いましたが、天気もよく、温かい日でした。
最初に来た頃の眼科医院は、この建物に入っていました（ウィキペディアから引用）。

ここの待合室は狭くて、毎回、廊下で立って診察を待ったものです。
何年か後に、眼科医院はその隣の大きなビルに引っ越しました。前の建物は、入院患者用の施設として使われています。
引っ越したビルの２０階の待合室は広々として、椅子もゆったりして快適です。
晴れの日は、外の景色がよく見えます（タイトル写真は、井上眼科クリニックのサイトから引用）。
健康保険証を看護師さんに見せるとき、マイナンバーカードでの健康保険証対応をするのか聞いてみたら、来年頃計画しているそうです。

視野検査というのは、暗室で半球形の白色の器具をのぞき込んで、明かりが点滅したら、手に持ったスィッチを押すというものです。明かりは、視野の広い範囲で、不規則に点滅します。また、明るさも２段階あります。これを片目づつ、５分間程度続けます。シューティングゲームだと思えばいいのですが目を動かさず、集中するので少しくたびれます。下の写真は、井上眼科クリニックのサイトから引用）。

視力検査と視野検査の後、医師の診察を受けます。『あの病気』以前と比べて、診察待ちの人が減っていました。
ここの病院の主な患者は、主に中高年の人たちなのですが、『あの病気』の感染を恐れる人が来院を控えたのかもしれません。

そのおかげで私にとっては、前回よりも待ち時間が短くて済みました。
診断結果も問題ありませんでした。
ただ、視野検査での左目の正答率が９７％で、前回の１００％よりは下がりました。
医師は、この程度なら大丈夫と言ってくれましたが、在宅勤務のためにかえって目を酷使しているときもあるので、ちょっと気になります。

また、２年前に治療してもらった、網膜裂肛の跡も問題ないと言われて安心しました。

The other day, I went to Ochanomizu for an eye checkup.
I've been going to this eye clinic for more than 10 years now, and every year I get a visual field test. The appointments are always crowded, and I usually have to wait for about two months.
It was November, so I thought it might be cold, but the weather was fine and warm.
The eye clinic was in this building when I first came here (quoted from Wikipedia).

The waiting room here was so small that I used to stand in the corridor every time I had to wait to see the doctor.
Some years later, the eye clinic moved to a larger building nearby. The old building is now used as an inpatient facility.
The waiting room on the 20th floor of the new building is spacious and comfortable, with comfortable chairs.
On a clear day, you can see the outside scenery clearly (the title photo is taken from the Inoue Eye Clinic website).
When I showed my health insurance card to the nurse, I asked if they were planning to accept my number card, and she said they were planning to do so around next year.

The visual field test involves looking into a hemispherical white instrument in a dark room and pressing a switch in your hand when the light flashes. The light blinks irregularly over a wide area of the visual field. There are also two levels of brightness. This is done for about five minutes, one eye at a time. You can think of it as a shooting game, but it is a little tiring because you have to concentrate without moving your eyes. (The photo below is taken from the Inoue Eye Clinic website.)

After the vision and field tests, I was examined by the doctor. There were fewer people waiting to see the doctor than before "that disease".
The main patients of this hospital are mainly middle-aged and elderly people, but those who are afraid of being infected with "that disease" may have refrained from coming to the hospital.

Because of this, the waiting time was shorter for me than last time.
There was no problem with the diagnosis.
However, the correct response rate of my left eye in the visual field test was 97%, which was lower than the previous 100%.
The doctor told me that this level is okay, but I am a little concerned because I work from home and sometimes overwork my eyes.

I was also relieved to hear that there was no problem with the scar from the retinal fissure that I had treated two years ago.
