無職になっても、週末に患うことが多い

先週、久しぶりに風邪をひいて、３８度の熱が出た。前に書いたように、ネズミをみたのは久しぶりだったが、風邪でこれほどの熱が出たのも久しぶりだった。
めったにないことが続いて起きることがある。もちろん、ネズミと風邪には因果関係はない。

「あの病気」（新型コロナ）の第１１波が来ているという。

私がかかった病気が、KP.3型か、あるいはそうでないのかはわからない。症状は、以下のようだった。

最初は、何となく体がだるいと感じた。
次に、夕飯がほとんど食べたくなくなった。
翌日も体がしんどくて、ほとんど寝ていた。
３日目に体温を測ると、38.1度あったので、市販の感冒薬を飲んだ。
４日目も同じ状態が続き、咽喉に違和感を感じ始めた。
５日目に体温を測ると37.6度だった。
６日目は36.9度に下がった。咳が出始めた。
７日目以降、熱は出なくなったが、鼻水が出て痰が絡み咳が出ることが続いた。

発症してから１０日経った。さほど頻繁ではないが、痰がのどに絡む感じが残っている。
子どものころよく見かけた、痰が絡む老人に近づいてしまったような気分だ。

感染したのは、スーパーの座れる場所か、図書館だろうかと考えているが、わからない。

年齢が高い人にとっては、厄介な病気である。

母（９７歳）が年末に帰省した親族に風邪をうつされて１カ月以上、苦しんだ。「高齢者には『命取り』になりかねないと実感した」

嗅覚も味覚も影響を受けていないようで、私はほっとしている。
ただ、食欲がなく、実際にあまり食べなかったので、一週間で１Kg痩せた。
連休明けに熱が下がったので、医者には行かなかった。

Even though I am unemployed, I often get sick on weekends.

Last week, I caught a cold for the first time in a long time, and had a fever of 38 degrees. As I wrote before, it had been a long time since I had seen a mouse, but it had also been a long time since I had such a high fever from a cold. Sometimes rare events occur one after another. Of course, there is no causal relationship between mice and colds.

They say that the 11th wave of "that disease" (COVID-19) is coming.

I don't know if the disease I had was KP.3 or not. The symptoms were as follows.

At first, I felt somehow tired. Then, I hardly wanted to eat dinner. The next day, I was still tired and slept most of the time. On the third day, I took my temperature, which was 38.1 degrees, so I took some over-the-counter cold medicine. The same condition continued on the fourth day, and I started to feel something strange in my throat. On the fifth day, I took my temperature, which was 37.6 degrees. On the sixth day, it dropped to 36.9 degrees. I started to cough. After the seventh day, I no longer had a fever, but I had a runny nose, phlegm, and continued to cough.

It's been 10 days since I started to get sick. It doesn't happen very often, but I still feel like I have phlegm stuck in my throat. I feel like I've become like the old people with phlegm that I often saw when I was a child.

I wonder if I was infected in a seat at the supermarket or in the library, but I don't know.

It's a troublesome disease for older people.

My mother (97 years old) was ill for over a month after catching a cold from a relative who had come home for the New Year. "I realized that for the elderly, this could be fatal."

I am relieved that neither my sense of smell nor my sense of taste seem to be affected.
However, I had no appetite and actually didn't eat much, so I lost 1kg in a week.
The fever went down after the holidays, so I didn't go to the doctor.
