福岡伸一氏の「フレームシフト」という日経新聞の記事を読んで何度も首をかしげてしまった（その３）

前に、福岡伸一氏の「フレームシフト」という日経新聞の記事について、二つの記事を書いた。

その続きである。

訂正記事の存在に気が付いたのは、日経新聞のwebサイトで「フレームシフト」を検索したら、訂正記事も表示されたからだ。しかし、その数日後、同じように検索しても、訂正記事が表示されなくなった。

１月３１日に日経新聞のwebサイトで「フレームシフト」を検索した結果

１月１４日の福岡氏の記事をwebサイトで見ると、本文が訂正された状態に変わっている。つまり、初稿を読んでいない人にとっては、そもそも記事の誤りは無かったことになる。

紙の新聞を読んでいる人と、webサイトで読む人との間で、このような認識の食い違いが出るわけだが、果たしてそれはいいのだろうか？

元の記事をそのまま書き換えたら、書き換えた行為は見えなくなる。
この行為を一言で言うと、隠蔽である。
やはり、初稿と訂正記事は残しておくか、初稿を修正した版だという断り書きをつけて掲載するべきだと思う。

なお、「訂正　フレームシフト」と入力してwebで検索すると、タイトル写真のように表示された。しかし、日経新聞のサイトの検索欄で「訂正　フレームシフト」と入力して検索しても「検索結果がありません」と表示される。

「頭隠して尻隠さず」の状態である。
日経新聞のサイトは、訂正記事を載せた後、いつもこのような対応をしているのだろうか？
これは他の新聞でもそうなのだろうか？

新聞のwebサイトでの修正は、こうあってほしい。

When I read the Nikkei Shimbun article titled "Frameshift” by Shinichi Fukuoka, I had many questions (Part 3)

Previously, I wrote two articles about Shinichi Fukuoka's "Frame Shift" article in the Nikkei Shimbun.

This is the continuation of that.

I became aware of the existence of the article announcing the correction because when I searched for "frameshift" on the Nikkei Shimbun website, an article announcing the correction also appeared. However, a few days later, a similar search no longer showed the article announcing the correction.

If you look at Mr. Fukuoka's article from January 14th on the website, you will see that the text has been corrected. In other words, for those who have not read the first draft, there were no errors in the article in the first place.

There is a discrepancy in perception between those who read paper newspapers and those who read on websites, but is this really a good thing?

If you rewrite the original article on the web, the act of rewriting it will no longer be visible.
To put this act in one word, it is a cover-up.
I think the first draft and the revised article should be kept, or published with a disclaimer stating that this is a revised version of the first draft.

In addition, when I searched the web for "correction frameshift", it was displayed like the title photo.
However, even if you enter "correction frame shift" in the search field of the Nikkei Shimbun website, the message "No search results found" is displayed.

It is a state of "The foolish ostrich buries his head in the sand and thinks he is not seen".
Does the Nikkei Shimbun website always respond like this after posting a corrected article?
Is this the case with other newspapers as well?

I found an example of what a corrected article should look like.
This is how I would like corrections to be made on newspaper websites.
