すべてのこどもはアーティスト

〜らしいから良い、とか、知らぬ間に社会から押し付けられた美的センスとか、そう言うんじゃなくて。
しっかりと自分の目で見て、心で感じたままに動く。考える。そういうピュアな子供心を「アーティスト」と表現したピカソ。

インスタ映えする写真を取りに行くとか、誰かのアイディアを真似てそれっぽい何かを作るとか、そういうんじゃない。

肌で風を感じたり、移りゆく景色に感動したり、心の底から大笑いして、涙して、時には行き詰まって、考える。
考えて考えて、それでも分からないから、自分なりのモノの見方を確立してみる。

そういうピュアだった子供の頃の自分自身の感覚や気持ちを持ち続けるのって、それこそ大人になって社会に出てからは意識していないと難しいことなのかも知れない。

【名言のように生きる１週間チャレンジ】も、早くも４週目。

なんとなく無意識に逸りがちな最近の自分の気持ちに、

「待った」

をかけたくてこの言葉をチョイスしてみた。

日々の中で擦り切れていく感覚を継ぎ足すみたいに、今週はもっと、世間とか常識とかそういうのぜーんぶとっぱらった世界で、自分の身体の奥底から湧き上がってくる感覚にチューニングしてみよう。

It's not about "~ish" kinda beauty or borrowed artistic sense from someone else in the society's. It's about what YOU see, what YOU feel, and what YOU think. That's the kind of child's spirit Picasso referred as an "artist" here.

It's not about going to take a picture of beautiful scenery only to post on Instagram or copying someone else's art just to gain more followers. It's about feeling the breaths of air, laughing/crying out loud from the bottom of your heart, thinking deep from within till you see YOUR kind of truth. YOUR own way of viewing things.

This week, I just wanted to be a little more mindful about the fact that the kind of child's spirit every one of us once had could easily be diminished when we become a part of society giving in to those "should-do" models, starting to suppress our version of artistic sense. Hence the quote;

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up" - Pablo Picasso

Let's tune in to these little artists in our hearts, shall we?
