教授法における「アプローチ」と「メソッド」の違いについて

言語の教授方法において「アプローチ」と「メソッド」の違いを一言でまとめると、

「アプローチ」＝理論、信念、基本的考え

「メソッド」＝「アプローチ」の具体的な実践方法、教授方法

と言えます。

Brown and Lee (2015)にはこう書かれています。

Approach= Theoretical positions and beliefs about teaching, language, language learning, learners, institutional and social factors, purposes of a course, and applicability of  all to a specific educational context. 

Method = A set of classroom specifications for accomplishing linguistic objectives. Method tends to identify teacher and student roles, linguistic and subject-matter objectives sequencing, and materials. 

つまり、

「博多弁を教えたら日本語学習者の80%で学習意欲が向上した」→「教科書にも博多弁を入れんといかんばい！」という理念（＝アプローチ）ができる

↓

それに基づく日本語を教えるための方法（博多っ子の会話をふんだんに取り入れた会話重視の「天神・メソッド」！）をつくる。これを「メソッド」と呼びます。
