This time, we're going to talk about the "Contradictions in the IT Society." 
I want to discuss how IT leaves only jobs that require concentration in society, while at the same time, it takes away our own ability to concentrate.

今回は、「IT社会の矛盾」ということについて、
「ITが社会で集中力の要する仕事のみを残し、同時に私達の集中力を奪っている」という話をしたいと思います。

<Why Should You Listen to This?>

You've probably felt that despite the convenience brought by the IT society, there's a decrease in your concentration. Have you ever experienced being distracted by smartphone notifications while trying to work?

For example, it's quite common for people to struggle with tasks because they get distracted by notifications on their smartphones.
 I, too, was a student who couldn't focus on studying because of smartphone notifications.

<なぜこの話を聴くべきか>

皆さんも、IT社会になって便利になったと感じる一方で、IT社会のせいで集中力が低下しているな、と感じたことは有りませんか。

例えば、スマホの通知が気になって作業が手につかない、というケースはよくあります。

私も学生時代はスマホの通知が気になって勉強が手につかない、という人間でした。

しかし、断言します。
集中力が低い人は、間違いなくIT社会で、取り残されます。
なぜなら集中力の要らないルーティンワークはこれからもITやAIに置き換わっていくからです。

しかし今回お伝えする、「IT社会の矛盾」について学ぶことで、ITに替わられない仕事に就くための第一歩を踏み出すことが出来ます。

と、その矛盾について紹介する前に、私が、Youtubeに完全に集中力を奪われていた話をしたいと思います。

<My Experience>

During my second year of college, I heard about how routine jobs would be taken away in the IT society. So, I decided to become a Youtuber, one of the most creative jobs I could think of at that time.

When planning my channel's content, I would watch various videos to get an idea from other channels.  However, I often got led to interesting videos, and my plans weren't progressing at all. It always happened.

It was ironic that a project I started inspired by the IT society ended up not progressing at all because of the same IT society, it is a funny situation hun?
However, stories like the one I shared are quite common in today's overall IT society, as it was mentioned in the book "Mentalist Daigo's Guide to Mastering Super Concentration."

Now, let's break down what it really means when we say, "IT leaves only jobs that require concentration in society, and at the same time, it takes away our concentration."

大学２年の夏、IT社会において単調な仕事は奪われる、ということを聴き、当時考えうる最もクリエイティブな職業、Youtuberとして動画を発信することを決意しました。

そこで、チャンネルの企画を決める際、他のチャンネルを参考にするために、よく色々な動画を見漁っていました。
しかし、そのうちに面白い動画に誘導されてしまい、気がついたら企画が全く進んでいない、という事態によく陥っていました。

IT社会に唆されて始めたプロジェクトが、IT社会のせいで中々仕事が進まない、という皮肉で、なんとも滑稽な話でした。

しかしながら、今回紹介したような話は、今のIT社会全体でもよく起こっている、と、「メンタリストDaigo 著作 自分を操る超集中力」という書籍には書いてあります。

それでは、「ITが社会で集中力の要する仕事のみを残し、同時に私達の集中力を奪っている」というのは具体的にどういうことなのでしょうか。

<Explanation>

First of all, as you know, IT is taking away routine jobs like office tasks and customer service in society. So, what's left are creative jobs that require concentration, such as planning roles, for example.

Planning creative projects and ideas is said to be something machines can't replace in the future.
Next, no matter the job, the necessary ability to plan roles is patience and concentration.

Imagine a manga artist or a novelist. 
They sit at their desks, focusing intensely and patiently creating stories right.
Especially planning roles, patience and focus like manga artists or novelists are needed.

But in today's world, with all the silly social media posts and too much online info, we're losing our most important thing – "concentration."
Realizing these problems in the IT world can be a big motivation to break free from being too dependent on IT and get back that focus.

I've learned to protect my focus from the bad side of IT society . Now, because I can stay focused, I've got perfect plans not just for this podcast but also to start making videos on YouTube from April.

まず初めに、御存知の通り、ITが社会において、事務作業やカスタマーサービスなどの単調な仕事を奪っています。
そこで、残る仕事は当然、集中力を要するクリエイティブな仕事ということになります。例えば、企画職が挙げられます。

クリエイティブなプロジェクトやアイデアを企画することは、今後も機械にはできないと言われています。

次に、どんな仕事でも、企画職に求められることは、忍耐と集中力です。

漫画家や小説家をイメージして下さい。
机に向かって、高い集中力をもって、忍耐強く物語を考えていますよね。

特に企画職であれば、漫画家や小説家と同じ素質が求められます。

そんな中、IT社会に生きる私達は、SNSのくだらない他人の投稿や、ネット上の情報の洪水に飲み込まれ、現代で最も貴重とされている”集中力”を失っているのです。

まずはこれらのIT社会の矛盾にいち早く気付くことが、脱 ”IT依存症”を実現し、集中力を取り戻す上で大きなモチベーションになると思います。

自分も今では、IT社会の悪影響を十分に理解し、貴重な集中力という資産を毎日必死に守っています。

そして、集中力を維持しているおかげで今では、このPodcastに限らず、４月からはYoutubeの配信も始める計画が具体的に立っています。
