分詞＝Ving, Vpp
 
He stood with his eyes ( closing / closed ).
His eyesがcloseされる→closed
Close「～を閉ざす」〔他動詞〕
　　　 「閉まる」〔自動詞〕
The door closed.「ドアが閉まった」
 
Ving；能動・進行中
Vpp；受動・完了
 
a falling leaf 「舞い葉」
a fallen leaf「落ち葉」
a developing country「発展途上国」
a developed country「先進国」
 
Spring is gone.「春は行ってしまった」
（＝Spring has gone.）
