#24 英語日記（10/6）「職場の飲み会」

【日本語】

先日、直属の上司とその知り合い数名で飲み会をした。
初めて会う方が多かったが、いい方たちばかりでとても楽しい飲み会だった。

そのうちの1人が、私と同じくミステリー小説が好きだと分かり、話が盛り上がった。

私のような若手職員にとっては、顔を売ることはても大事だと思う。
飲み会で得た人脈が、業務に繋がることが多いからだ。

Recently, I had a drinking party with my immediate boss and his coworker.
Even though I wasn't familiar with most of them, they were so kind and friendly.

In addition, I found that one of them also like mystery novel, I had a nice chat.

For junior officer like me, it is so important to widen connection.
The connection makes my working more smoothly.

The other day, I had a drinking party with my immediate supervisor and several of his acquaintances.
Many of them were meeting for the first time, but they were nice people and it was a very enjoyable drinking party.

Moreover, one of them turned out to like mystery novels as much as I do, and the conversation got very lively.

I think it is very important for young employees like me to expand my network at work. This is because the network that I built through drinking party is often useful.
