⛷英語でスキーを初心者に教えるときに使える⛷フレーズリスト

はじめてスキーをするフィリピン人の友達（なんと雪を見るのも初だとか！）を
スキーに連れていく際に、私が教えられるようにまとめていたフレーズ集をシェアします。

準備
Let's put your ski and boots on before skiing.
Make sure you have no snow on your ski boots 

姿勢
Stand tall with your feet about hip-width apart.
Bend your knees.
Position your arms slightly in front of you and off to the side.
Keep your arms slightly bent and out in front of you.

ポールの使い方
Put your hand through the poles correctly to avoid losing your poles in falls and mishaps. 
Grip the handle.
Hold your poles with the tips pointed backward.

重心
Keep your weight centered over both feet to stay evenly balanced.
Keep your knees bent.
Keep your shins tilted forward to help you balance.

板のそろえ方
Place the skis parallel across a flat part of the slope.
Position your skis into a V-shape
Your ski tails should be pointed toward each other but not touching.
The wider you make the V-shape, the easier it will be to get up steeper inclines.
It takes practice to narrow turns and be able to complete short turns downhill.

回り方
Put your weight on your left foot to turn right.
Turn left by putting your weight on your right foot.
Focus on using your lower body to steer and keep your upper body relaxed.

止まり方
The more you spread your skis apart to make a wider wedge, the slower you’ll go.
Try controlling your speed by changing the size of your wedge
※wedge: V字型のこと

リフトからの降り方
When approaching the top, keep the tips of your skis up to prevent them from getting snagged on something.

立ち上がり方
Push hard with your legs and stand up, using your hand closest to the slope or your poles for support.
Push yourself off with your ski poles.

目線
Pay attention to your surroundings.
Look ahead of you, not down at your skis.
