　I think that what will change the world in the 21th century is our own thoughts. In the 20th century, there were many great wars all over the world. Many people felt despair because their close people such as friends and families were killed or wounded in the wars. If everyone decides to cease wars and hopes for a peaceful world, wars will be eliminated from our world.

答案が長いので、１文ずつに分けます。

• great war というとき、ふつうはWorld WarⅠとWorld WarⅡを指すので、many ではない。several に直す。

答案）
Many people felt despair because their close people such as friends and families were killed or wounded in the wars.

添削）

• their close people だと親しい人全員が戦争で殺されるか、負傷する、すなわち (all) their close peopleを意味する。some of their close people に直す。

答案）
If everyone decides to cease wars and hopes for a peaceful world, wars will be eliminated from our world.

• 内容がナイーブすぎて、読んでいて「そんなわけない」と思った。

• 「私たちの思想が戦争を止める」と考えるならば、そう考える根拠を示してほしい。

• 先の対戦の話は、「私たちの思想が戦争を止める」という内容と関係がない。

• 答案全体が「私たちの思想は、２１世紀を大きく変える原動力となる。」ことに対する説明になっておらず、評価が低い。
