In my opinion, words sometimes control us. In the civilized society, we always use words in any situation. When we talk with someone, you may make a person talk with being happy, puzzled or annoyed! This is because words can also be knives, so we should think seriously what they should utter anytime. For instance, you are told bad words.

• 文明社会と言葉の使用は関係ある？文明社会ではなく、「言語を持つ社会」ならわかるけど。ただ、「言語を持たない社会」があまりにも特殊すぎるので、ここで言及する必要は特にない。

• 何を言ってるのかわからない。a person は someone のこと？だったら the person に直す。

• with doing「〜しながら」 という形は存在しない。付帯状況の with と分詞構文を混同している。東大の問題に挑むにしては、ずいぶんと基本的な間違いをしている。

• 書き方が回りくどい。英作文の答案はシンプルに書く。When you talk with someone, your words[your remark, what you say] may make them[him or her] happy, puzzled or annoyed. に直す。

• should「～すべき」とかそういうことは聞いていない。「私たちは言葉に操られている」と考える理由を説明するだけでよい。とりあえず何でも英語を書いておけばいい、という姿勢では、東大の英作文で高得点を期待できない。

• think seriously よりも think carefully のほうがこの文脈では自然
