自然物の情報量 | Information content of natural objects

屋内で過ごす時間が長く、仕事柄ディスプレイを見ている時間がとても長い生活を送っています。
現在の住まいは周りに緑も多く、散歩するととても気持ちが良い環境です。
自然のものを見たり触れたりするのがリフレッシュになります。

僕の作業部屋は色々と道具が多く、見渡すとプラスチックや金属、紙など人工的な素材で一杯です。
それぞれ均一な色をしていて、劣化しにくい状態でその形状を保っています。

変化が無いと感じる場合、
ポジティブな側面としては堅牢、安定といった捉え方、
逆にネガティブな側面としては停滞、停止といった捉え方になるかなあと思います。

一人で部屋で黙々と作業。屋外に比べ圧倒的に変化の無い環境は集中出来ます。
でも長い間作業していると煮詰まってくる、それは変化の無さから適度な刺激を求める感覚なのかなと思います。

外に出ると風が吹いて、日が傾き、木々は瞬間瞬間、色、形、匂いを変化させています。
自然の持つ圧倒的な情報量に触れる事で適度な刺激を受けてリフレッシュするのかなあと考えたりしました。

しかし、なかなか時間が無いと外にも出られない事もあるので、部屋に植物があるというのは良いですね。

I spend a lot of time indoors and my job requires me to spend a lot of time looking at displays.
My current house has a lot of greenery around it, and it is a very pleasant environment to take a walk.
I can refresh my mind to see and touch natural things.

My workroom is full of tools and artificial materials such as plastic, metal, and paper.
Each is uniform in color and retains its shape with little deterioration.

If you feel that there is no change, you can see the positive side as robustness and stability.
On the other hand, on the negative side, it can be perceived as stagnant or stopped.

Working quietly alone in my workroom. That is ​compared to the outdoors, the environment with no change overwhelmingly helps me concentrate.
However, after working for a long time, I start to feel stagnant, and I think this is because I am seeking the right amount of stimulation from the lack of change.

When I go outside, the wind is blowing, the sun is shining, and the trees are changing their colors, shapes, and smells every moment.
I wondered if being touch to the overwhelming amount of information that the natural things has to offer would refresh my mind with the right amount of stimulation.

However, sometimes you can't even go outside if you don't have time. In such cases, it is nice to have plants in the room.

Orecho=オレチョとは？
本多 孝男による複数の作品シリーズをシンボル化、融合することで誕生したキャラクター。
「オレチョ」は作家の自己を投影した表現者として作品に登場している。名前の由来は"己"を"超"えるより。　
　
What is Orecho?
The character was born by symbolizing and fusing multiple series of artworks by Takao Honda.
"Orecho" is appeared in artworks as an expresser who projects himself.
The origin of the name comes from "I want always overcome myself". In Japanese mean Ore=myself, cho=overcome.
