学びのフェア＆タンザニア連合共和国　活動報告

タンザニアの準備を1カ月前から始め、とうとうその日がやってきました。皆さん、いかがでしたでしょうか？

この日まで、大使館の皆さんと入念な打ち合わせを行い、ご来場の皆さん、特に子どもたちが楽しめるようにと世田谷区から港区にまで足を運んで現地を視察してくださいました。その姿勢に深く感謝いたします。現地視察時には、さまざまなアイデアを提案していただいたタンザニア連合共和国大使館の皆様に心から感謝いたします。

当日のタンザニア料理はすべて大使館からの提供で、ウガリはルヴァンダ大使夫人がタンザニアから持ってきてくださった日本では売っていない貴重な物でした。ピラウライスやウガリ、カチュンバリをルヴァンダ大使夫人と一緒に作りましたね。皆さん、いかがでしたでしょうか？限られた調理時間の中では皆さんのお腹を満たすためにと大使館のご配慮とシェフのクリスマル・ラブラドールさんが更に料理を提供してくださいました。心から感謝いたします。また、子どもたちにも楽しんでもらえるように工夫していただいたことにも感謝いたします。

また、文化講座を分かりやすく説明してくださった上席行政官の白井一真様にも感謝いたします。タンザニアの言葉は日本人が英語を使用するよりも話しやすいということも今日分かりましたね。皆さん、積極的にご参加くださってありがとうございました。タンザニアはアフリカの54か国の中で、スケールの大きさや動物と自然の一体感が異彩を放っていることを知るにつれ、ますますタンザニアの魅力が深まりました。アフリカ最高峰のキリマンジャロや、サンジバル島の美しいビーチなど、タンザニアの魅力を教えていただきました。

さらに、タンザニア・フォワード財団から提供された動画ではサミア・スルフ・ハッサン大統領のタンザニアの案内を鑑賞しながらルヴァンダ大使夫人と一緒に作ったタンザニア料理、タンザニアの美しい風景や文化を感じることができました。

通訳の奥田紀子さんのおかげで、このイベントをより身近に感じることができました。

最後に、Tanzania Tanzaniaでタンザニアの皆さんと一緒に踊ることができた時間は、リズムと音楽が今も私たちの体に刻まれているようです。

この素晴らしい日は、タンザニア大使館の皆さんの愛情あふれるご支援のおかげで、私たちの心に深く刻まれるものとなりました。必ずタンザニアを訪れることを誓います。そして、多くのフードバンクを提供してくださった企業の皆様にも心より感謝いたします。

OHAO PROJECT × Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania Learning Fair & Activity Report

We started preparing for Tanzania a month ago, and finally, the day arrived. How was everyone's experience?

Until this day, we had meticulous meetings with everyone at the embassy and even conducted on-site inspections from Setagaya Ward to Minato Ward to ensure that everyone, especially the children, would enjoy themselves. We deeply appreciate this dedication. We extend heartfelt thanks to everyone at the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania for their various ideas proposed during the on-site inspections.

All the Tanzanian dishes on the day were provided by the embassy. Ugali, brought by Ambassador's wife, Mrs.Lavanda, from Tanzania, was a precious item not sold in Japan. We made Pilau rice, Ugali, and Kachumbari together with Ambassador's wife, Mrs.Lavanda. How did everyone like them? To ensure everyone's stomachs were filled within the limited cooking time, the embassy provided additional dishes, thanks to the thoughtful arrangements and Chef Chrismaal Labrador's efforts. We sincerely appreciate this. We also thank them for their efforts to ensure that children would enjoy the food.

We also extend our gratitude to Senior Administrative Officer Mr.Kazuma Shirai for explaining the cultural lectures in an easy-to-understand manner. Today, we learned that Tanzanian language is easier for Japanese people to speak than English. Thank you all for actively participating. As we learned more about Tanzania, we realized its unique charm, with its scale and integration of animals and nature standing out among the 54 countries in Africa. We learned about the attractions of Tanzania, including Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, and the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar Island.

Furthermore, thanks to the video provided by the Tanzania Forward Foundation, we were able to experience Tanzania's beautiful landscapes and culture while watching President Samia Suluhu Hassan's guided tour of Tanzania. Thanks to the cooking session with Ambassador's wife, Lavanda, we could feel the beauty of Tanzania even more.

Thanks to the interpreter, Noriko Okuda, we felt closer to this event.

Lastly, the time spent dancing with Tanzanian locals during "Tanzania Tanzania" seems to have left its rhythm and music echoing in our bodies.

This wonderful day has been deeply engraved in our hearts thanks to the affectionate support of everyone at the Tanzanian Embassy. We vow to visit Tanzania without fail. We also express our heartfelt gratitude to the companies that provided many food banks.
