この度、HOTEL ANTEROOM SEOULは、倉知朋之介と南昭娟（ナム・ソヨン）による2人展「24/7（トゥエンティーフォーセブン）」を開催します。本展は、2021年HOTEL ANTEROOM KYOTOで発足した若手育成の為のアートプロジェクト「ANTEROOM TRANSMISSION」の第3弾で、ソウルで初めての開催となります。
The HOTEL ANTEROOM SEOUL will host a two-person exhibition, 24/7, featuring the works of KURACHI Tomonosuke and NAM Soyeon. It will take place for the first time in Seoul as Vol. 3 of ANTEROOM TRANSMISSION, an art project to support and train young artists, launched at the HOTEL ANTEROOM KYOTO in 2021.

倉知朋之介は自らが主演・演出を手がける映像インスタレーションを通じて、現代のエンターテインメントへの問いかけを行います。海外のTVドラマや映画、MVのモチーフや誇張された手法を「真似る」ことで、倉知は日常的な体験から可笑しみを抽出し、劇的なショウへと変容させます。
KURACHI Tomonosuke questions the state of contemporary entertainment through video installations in which he directs and plays the leading role. By “imitating” motifs or exaggerated techniques of foreign TV dramas, movies, and music videos, he extracts humour from everyday experiences and transforms them into dramatic shows.

絵画、映像、インスタレーションなど様々な視覚表現を用いる南昭娟は、仮想のプラットフォームを作り、仮想空間と現実空間とを行き来をするプロジェクトを展開しています。観客をクライアント（依頼者）として設定し、彼らの悩みを解消する為の道具を作ることで、作者と観客との間に生じる演劇性やゲーム性に注目します。
NAM Soyeon practises various forms of visual art, such as painting, video, and installation. She has built a virtual platform, where she develops a project that traverses between the virtual and actual spaces. She treats her audience as clients and focuses on the essence of theatre or gaming that emerges from the creator and audience through making tools that would solve the troubles of her clients.

共にデジタル環境に慣れ親しむ90年代生まれであり、制作活動にもテクノロジー技術を取り入れる倉知とナム。今回の2人展は、絶えず人、モノ、資本、情報、知が「移動する」と言われる現代の社会環境における「24時間性」がテーマです。時間の概念から焦点を当てることで、生活や環境における文化・慣習の違いが曖昧になることを前提とし、私たちの身体と技術との関わりを考察します。
Both KURACHI and NAM were born in the 90s; they are familiar enough with the digital environment to incorporate its technology into their works. It is said that people, things, capital, information, and knowledge are constantly “on the move” today. This two-person exhibition addresses “24-hour-ness” in such a contemporary social environment as a theme. By focusing on the concept of time, we suggest that the differences between each culture and custom in our lives and environments can become ambiguous. With this hypothesis, the exhibition explores the relationship between our bodies and technology.

また、若手作家育成を目指す本プロジェクトでは、美術系の教育機関に在籍中及び卒業後3年以内の若手作家を対象とし、作家、推薦者、キュレーター、ホテルが協業しながら、展覧会を作り上げていきます。

As the project aims to support and train young artists who are currently studying or have graduated from art school within three years, the artists, recommenders, curators, and hotels work together to build the exhibition. We earnestly look forward to welcoming you.

四六時中いつでもずっと。1日24時間。週7日間。を意味する英語の意味。
