私が日本語教師を目指した理由🌿

社会人2年目、退職を決意しました。
「学生相手の仕事をしたい」
という気持ちはあったものの、どういった対象の学生かというところまでは落とし込めていませんでした。

そんな時日本語教師を経験する方とご飯に行く機会があり、
話をしていく中でNZでのワーホリを思い出しました。

言語の障壁がある中でも
たくさんの温かさをくれた現地の方々。

その当時、毎日日記を書いており
「私も逆の立場になって日本に来た留学生達をサポートをしたい、自分がもらった恩を恩返し＋恩送りとしてつなげていきたい」と記していました。

日本語教師の仕事を調べるうちに
そんな思いがどんどん溢れてきて、
日本語教師を目指すなら今しかない、このタイミングだ！
と決意しました。

コロナ禍ということもあり、職として需要があるのか...
そういった不安もありますが
まずは何より自分がワクワクできるものが見つかり
今はひとまず一歩踏み出し続けていきます😌✨

I decided to become a Japanese teacher.
I’ve always wanted to work with students, but hadn’t decided which grade or what kind of students.
 
Recently, I had lunch with one of my friends who used to be a Japanese teacher. The conversation reminded me of memories in NZ.

I was there for working holiday.  All the people who I met there were really kind, so thanks to them,even though I couldn’t speak English very well, I could really enjoy the life there.

I had written dairy at that time.
“I’d like to support foreign students who come to Japan and It’s gonna be repaying the kindness to people who were kind to me in NZ”

I’m so excited to study Japanese to support people.
I’m not sure what is going to happen because of COVIT19, but so glad that I found what I’d like to do 😊✨
