1981年（昭和56年）に『週刊少年ジャンプ』（集英社）32号掲載の「転校生はヘンソウセイ!?」でデビューし、1983年（昭和58年）に同誌5・6合併号から連載を開始した『ウイングマン』で連載デビュー[7]。主に『週刊少年ジャンプ』で活躍し、その後『週刊ヤングジャンプ』（同）に移籍。代表作に『ウイングマン』『電影少女』『I"s』など[2]。
評価は日本国内に留まらず香港[8]・台湾[8]・アメリカ[9]・フランス[10]など様々な国や地域のファンから支持されている
Debuted in 1981 (Showa 56) with ``Transfer Student is Strange!?'' published in ``Weekly Shonen Jump'' (Shueisha) No. 32, and serialization began in 1983 (Showa 58) in the combined issue of 5 and 6 of the same magazine. Serial debut in ``Wingman'' [7]. He was mainly active in ``Weekly Shonen Jump'' and later transferred to ``Weekly Young Jump'' (same). Representative works include "Wingman," "Video Girl," and "I"s.[2]
