天皇皇后両陛下の公務などを紹介している宮内庁の公式インスタグラムは、きょう（21日）午後4時ごろ、フォロワー数が100万人を超えました。

宮内庁は、皇室の活動をより若い世代にも知ってもらうため、今月からインスタグラムの公式アカウントを使用し、両陛下の公務の様子などを紹介しています。

アカウントをフォローする人の数＝フォロワー数は連日伸びていて、きょう午後4時頃、フォロワー数が100万人を突破しました。

宮内庁がSNSを利用するのは初めてで、4月1日の運用開始以来、21日目で節目の数字を超えました。

The official Instagram account of the Imperial Household Agency, which introduces the official duties of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress, had over 1 million followers as of 4pm today (21st).

Starting this month, the Imperial Household Agency has been using the official Instagram account to introduce the official duties of Their Majesties, in order to make the activities of the Imperial Family known to the younger generation.

The number of people following the account = number of followers has been increasing day by day, and today at around 4pm, the number of followers exceeded 1 million.

This is the first time that the Imperial Household Agency has used SNS, and the milestone was surpassed on the 21st day since its operation began on April 1st.
