なぜV系は脱退や解散が多いのか？｜Why VKEI bands often break up

今回はSNSでよく目にする意見「V系バンドは脱退や解散が多い」について考えてみました。｜I have been thinking about an opinion I often see on social networking sites: "V-kei bands often leave or break up.

本当にV系は脱退・解散が多いのか｜Is that true?

さて、僕は5年くらいV系バンドをやってきていますが、「V系は脱退や解散が多い」という声を多く聞きます。

｜I have been in a V-kei band for about five years, and I have heard many people say that "V-kei has many departures and breakups.

たしかに周りのバンドで脱退や解散はよくありましたし、自分が所属していたバンドでも脱退はありました。僕も脱退経験者です。
果たして本当に”V系に限って”脱退や解散が多いのでしょうか？

｜Yes, it is true that there have been many band members around me who have left or broken up, and I have been in bands that have also left. I have also experienced band exits.
Is it really the case that "only in V-kei" there are many band members who leave or break up?

僕が3分くらい一生懸命考えた結果から言うと、
V系だから多いということはないと思います。非V系でも脱退や解散はよくあることだと思います。

｜After about three minutes of hard thinking on my part, I can tell you that
I don't think it's because they are V-kei that there are so many of them. I think it is common for non-V-kei to leave the group or break up.

マイナーな非V系バンドのファンではない限り、V系ファンに非V系バンドの脱退・解散の情報は入ってきません。しかしV系バンドの情報はどんどん入ってくるためV系の方が多く感じるのではないでしょうか。

｜Unless you are a fan of a minor non-V band, V-kei fans do not receive information about non-V bands leaving or breaking up. However, information about V-kei bands is coming in more and more, so V-kei fans may feel that there are more V-kei bands.

でも｜But

頑張ってるバンドだけでいえばV系の方が多くなるのではないかなとも思います。（※頑張ってるバンド＝集客が安定してあって、ファンが結構いて、利益が出ているバンド）

｜If we only talk about bands that are doing well, I think that V-type bands would be more common. (*Bands that are doing well = bands that have a stable audience, a good number of fans, and are profitable)

僕もあまり非V系に詳しくありませんが、周りのバンドを見ているとそう感じます。

｜I'm not too familiar with non-V-kei either, but I feel that way when I look at the bands around me.

なぜV系は脱退や解散が多いのか？｜Why do so many V-kei leave or break up?

なぜ頑張ってるバンドではV系のほうが脱退・解散が多いと感じるのか。
2分くらい頑張って考えてみた結果、3つ思いつきました。

｜Why do I feel that in bands that are trying their best, V-types are more likely to leave or break up?
After thinking hard for about two minutes, I came up with three things.

①V系バンドは商業的な人が多い｜ V-kei bands are more commercial people
②解散のハードルが低い｜The hurdle to break up is low
③変わった人が多い｜There are many unusual people

一つずつ書いていきます。

①V系バンドは商業的な人が多い｜ V-kei bands are more commercial people

V系は非V系に比べてファンがつきやすかったりグッズが売れやすかったりで利益が出やすいです。

｜V-kei is more profitable than non-V-kei because it is easier to attract fans and sell merchandise.

近年のメタル界隈からの参入の多さを見て感じる人も多いと思います。
某バンドNの成功を見て多くのメタルバンドがV系化しました。（朝倉未来に続いてYouTubeを始める格闘家のように）

｜Many people feel this when they see the many entries from the metal community in recent years.
Many metal bands have become V-oriented after seeing the success of a certain band N. (Like the martial artist who started YouTube following Mirai Asakura)

そのためV系バンドをやっている人には、V系をやりたくてやっている人と売れるためにV系をやっている人に分かれます。
バンド内に両タイプがいれば、活動していくうちにやりたいことを追求する派とmoneyを追及する派に分かれるので方向性が違ってきます。

それによって軋轢が生じ解散・脱退につながるのではないでしょうか。

｜Therefore, there are two types of people in V-kei bands: those who want to play V-kei and those who play V-kei to sell.
If both types of people are in the band, the band will be divided into two groups, one pursuing what they want to do and the other pursuing money, and the direction of the two groups will be different.

This may cause friction and lead to dissolution or withdrawal from the band.

②解散・脱退のハードルが低い｜The hurdle to break up is low

V系は音楽以外の部分（例えば見た目やキャラ等）も重要なジャンルなので、バンドだけでなくメンバー個人に付くファンも多いです。
そのため解散・脱退しても”続きから”活動できる人が多く、ハードルが低いのかもしれません。
僕はそうではなかった（DEVILOOFはバンドのファンが多かった）ので、完全な想像です。

｜V-kei is a genre in which aspects other than the music (e.g., appearance and character) are also important, and many fans attach themselves not only to the band but also to individual members.
Therefore, even if a band breaks up or leaves the group, many people can "continue from where they left off," which may be a low hurdle to overcome.
I was not one of them (DEVILOOF had many fans of the band), so this is completely imaginary.

③変わった人が多い｜There are many unusual people

みんな個性が強いです。

｜They all have strong personalities.

思いついたありそうな理由はこれくらいでした。
もしV系の脱退・解散が多いのであれば、こういう理由なんじゃないかな？という想像です。
ぜひみなさんの意見も教えてください！

｜These were the only likely reasons I could come up with.
If there are a lot of V-kei leaving or disbanding, I would imagine that these are the reasons. I'm just guessing.
