はじめまして / Nice To Meet You

はじめまして。鈴木萌です。私はロサンゼルスに住みながら、映像のサウンドのお仕事をしています。

「え、それって何するの？」ってなる方がほとんどだと思います。私も最初そうでした笑

このnoteでは、私が普段やっていること、思っていることなどを書いていけたらな、なんて思っています。そして、それを通してこのお仕事を知ってくださる人がいたらいいな、なんて思ってます。

実は私はSNSでも自分からどんどん更新していくタイプではなく…。ブログを書くのも初めてなので、ちょっと緊張しております。笑

でも、もしこの場をお借りして、私もいろいろ勉強できたらとても嬉しいです。（まだまだ働き出したばかりなので、、）

もし何かありましたら、是非コメントで教えてください！サウンドのことでもそうでないことでも、皆さんのご意見を伺いながら成長していけたらなと思っています。

少し、今までの経緯を

今は映像のサウンドをやっていますが、アメリカに来る前はずっと、吹奏楽とオーケストラをやっていました。ピアノは全然できないのですが。笑

最終的には音楽大学まで行ったのですが、事情により急遽道を変更して、映像のサウンド（音響）を勉強するため、ロサンゼルスに来ました。

今はロサンゼルスで学校を卒業して、現地にある音響のスタジオで働いています。（スタジオでは、主にフォーリーという部門で働いています。）

今はやっとこさ就職できていますが、本当に長い道のりでした…。そのことについても、後々書いていけたらなと思っております。

書き始めるといろいろありすぎて長くなってしまいそうなので、今日はここまでにしておきます。

Hi everyone! 

My name is Moe Suzuki. I work on post production sound for film, tv shows, commercials, etc… while living in LA.
On this blog, I’m going to write about what I do and think usually, and I hope more people are going to know about post production sound as well as Japanese culture or anime if possible through my blog!

Actually, I’m not a person who often posts on social media, and of course this is my first time doing a blog, so I’m getting a little bit nervous now. 

The reason why I started to do this is that I wanted to improve myself, so I would be so grateful if you would give me comments about things pertaining to sound or anything in general.

Here’s a little bit of my story.

I’m doing post production sound now, but before this I played the clarinet and oboe in brass bands and orchestras before I came to the US, even though I have never been able to play the piano at all.
I went to a university of music in Tokyo eventually, but decided to make a switch to the audio industry and came to LA to study about it.
Now, I’ve been working at a post production sound studio after graduating school! Honestly, it was not an easy road to get a job here as a foreigner, and it was just as tough having to learn English (I’m planning to write about that later too). 

Anyway, here’s my little introduction. I’m looking forward to telling you more about my story. Until next time!
