2023年10月21日(土)に開催されたTEDxAnjoWomenで初めて安城市にやってきました。 JR安城駅の１階に観光協会があったのでそこで聞いた安城のオススメをよそ者視点で紹介したいと思います。
I came to Anjo City for the first time on Saturday, October 21, 2023, for TEDxAnjoWomen. I found the tourist information center on the first floor of JR Anjo Station, and I would like to share some recommendations about Anjo from an outsider's perspective based on what I learned there.

いよいよ2023年10月21日(土)、アンフォーレにてTEDxAnjoWomen開催！
JR安城駅を降りた1階に観光協会があり、安城について色々聞いてみたらたくさん教えてもらいました。 観光協会のみなさん、ありがとうございました。
On Saturday, October 21, 2023, TEDxAnjoWomen was held at Anfolet! On the first floor after getting off at JR Anjo Station, I found the tourist information center, and when I inquired about Anjo, I received a lot of valuable information. Thank you very much to staffs at the tourist information center!

さすが、愛知県は家康推しなんですね。
そういや、当日、JR安城駅から会場までの市内案内をしていただくガイドさんも、『安城家康ガイド』でした。
Indeed, it seems like Aichi Prefecture is a big fan of Tokugawa Ieyasu. On the same day of the event, the guide who gave us local tour guide from JR Anjo Station to the venue of TEDxAnjoWomen, anforet, was also an 'Anjo Ieyasu Guide'.

と、いうことで、TEDxAnjoWomenが開催される安城市について少しご紹介したいと思います。
I would like to introduce a bit about Anjo City, where TEDxAnjoWomen is held.
Anjo is the mecca of Gon-gitsune(Gon, the little fox)?/安城市は『ごんぎつね』の聖地だった？
安城市は、『ごんぎつね』の絵本で有名な童話作家、新美南吉さんが若井頃滞在されていて、市内各所に彼のゆかりの地があるということでした。
駅の中にも写真やパネルが展示されてて、南吉推しが伺えます。
Anjo City is known for being a place where the famous children's book author Nankichi Niimi, known for 'Gongitsune (Gon, the Little Fox)' once stayed when he was young. There are many places of significance related to him throughout the city. Even inside the station, you can see photos and panels, showcasing his connection to the area.

駅を出て会場に向かっていくと目に飛び込んでくる大きな壁画がある建物が。新美南吉のオブジェや壁画がこれでもかと迎えてくれます。
As you leave the station and head towards the venue, you'll come across a building with a big paint on the wall that catches your eye. It's adorned with sculptures and murals dedicated to Nankichi Niimi welcoming you in a grand manner.
The first thing that catches your eye as you leave the station is the mural depicting scenes from Nankichi's children's stories
この南吉ストリートをすぎると、もう、会場のアンフォーレでした！ なんという駅チカ！
Once you pass through this Nankichi Street, you're already at the venue, Anfolet! What a convenient location near the station!

建物に近づいてくると、なにやら表に箱のようなものが。よく見ると１階には碧海地域のコミュニティFMがありました。
As you approach the building, you'll notice something like a box in front of it. Closer look, I found that the first floor houses the community FM radio station for the "Hekikai" area.

The world of Jo-zan can also be found in Anjo!/丈山の世界観が安城にも！
観光協会によると、安城市のおすすめスポットは、新美南吉のゆかりの地以外にも、丈山苑がおすすめとのことでした。
According to the tourist association, aside from the places associated with Nankichi Niimi, another recommended spot in Anjo City is "Jo-zan-en".
この丈山苑は、公式パンフレットによると、

『江戸時代の初め、 武士を捨てた石川丈山が京都一乗寺に建て、終の栖とした詩仙堂。丈山苑はそのイメージを生誕地和泉の地に再現し、「丈山の世界」を創ったものです。 丈山苑の核となる詩泉閣には、 詩仙堂ゆかりの三十六詩仙の額を始め隷書体の書幅などが掲げられ、丈山の感性を偲ぶことができます。
庭園は丈山の作庭した詩仙堂、 東本願寺 渉成園(しょうせいえん)(枳穀邸・きこくてい)、田辺の酬恩庵(一休寺)の三庭園をイメージし、唐様庭園・回遊式池泉庭園・枯山水庭園を組み合わせた本格的な庭園。
苑内には、丈山の漢詩碑も配しています。 四季折々の風を感じながら苑内にたたずみ、ゆったりと一服の茶を味わうとき、自適に生きた丈山からの、現代へのメッセージが聞こえてくるのではないでしょうか。』
"In the early Edo period, Ishikawa Jo-zan, who had renounced his samurai status, built and resided in the Shisendo Temple in Ichijoji, Kyoto, as his final refuge. Jo-zan-en recreates this image in his birthplace of Izumi and creates 'Jo-zan's World.' The central building in Jo-zan-en, called Shisenkaku, displays the writings of the thirty-six poets associated with Shisendo, along with calligraphy pieces, allowing visitors to reflect upon Jo-zan's sensibilities.
The garden combines elements from three famous gardens: Shisendo in Jo-zan's birthplace, Sho-sei-en at Higashi Hongan-ji Temple, and Shu-on-an in Tanabe (associated with Ikkyu-ji Temple). It features a classical garden style with a Chinese-style garden, a stroll-style pond garden, and a dry rock garden "Karesansui". Jo-zan's Chinese poems are also inscribed within the garden.
As you stand within the garden, feeling the changing seasons, and savoring a quiet tea break, you may sense a message from Jo-zan, who lived according to his own preferences, resonating with the present day."
まさに忙しすぎる現代人が自分を取り戻す、まさにマインドフルネスを体感できる場所なのではないでしょうか。ぜひ、丈山の世界観を感じながらゆったりとお茶を楽しんでみてはいかがでしょうか。
Indeed, it might be a place where the busy business person can reconnect with themselves and experience true mindfulness.
I highly recommend taking some time to leisurely enjoy tea while immersing yourself in Jo-zan's world to see for yourself.
