Meet the team! - Saori "returning the favor to the world" with MarMar
MarMar is a non-profit organization that focuses on providing childcare support for foreign residents in Japan, aiming to "create a more diverse and inclusive society so that everyone can express their individuality, accept each other, and shine together". The group hopes to make a difference in the world by realizing diversity and inclusion in child-rearing, which is directly related to the future. We also provide various consultation services and accompany people going through procedures at city hall and other places in Japan.
Our organizing members are the drive and fortune of the group.

First contact
Q: What was your first contact with MarMar?
The founder, Yuka was my mom friend. I happened to find her and the group in a brochure from Kamakura city and contacted her on this.

Q: Why did you join the group?
I lived abroad in the U.S., and I was very, very fortunate to have the help of not only my classmates, but also the neighbors. Now I would like to return it to the world. I hope to help someone in need in my community, and make more peace of mind.
Q: What was the most gratifying support you received while living abroad?
I managed to do anyway with my classes at school. When I was worried about submitting documents and making inquiries at banks and government offices, the people around me helped me. I didn't know how it worked, and even if they explained it to me, I just wasn't sure if I would be able to understand it, but just following along and being there beside me was very reassuring.

Our participants, the people involved, and the members are all overflowing with love. I always receive energy and kindness here.
