Just the way you are

Just the way you are.
This is one of my favorite lyrics. The other day my English teacher quoted this lyric explaining the difference between just and only. I soon remembered my pastoral memory of this lyric.
In my teenage days I was so happy to know one beautiful girl. She was one of my classmates, but I didn't have the chance to communicate with her in the class. I did not even say hello to her and so she never said hello to me either.
I don't know the reason but now I feel and understand this kind of subtle relationship with someone.
I respected her I envied her because she was so beautiful. One day I had a piece of photo of Cheap Trick and Linda Ronstadt with me in my transparent pad. Suddenly she started talking to me saying "Do you like music?" So, I told her that I loved Rock and Pop and Country music. At that moment I knew I had a beautiful friend.
After school I went to her house because she invited me so kindly. On the high place of the wall was one monotone photo. She told me that she had lost her mother in the past year. In the photo one beautiful lady wearing kimono was smiling. 
In her room I listened to many songs. Maybe I knew all the songs I listened there because I was a hard listener of midnight's radio. Through the radio I got much information about another countries' music, so called yogaku in Japan generally. But for me in her room all songs were different than usual.
As if Carly Simon smiled right at me, I felt full happiness in my heart. After maybe two or three hours she began to play piano singing just the way you are. I too began to hum the lyrics with her.
Now I don't know where she lives and what she does. Maybe she forgot about me, but she is my eternal friend in my heart, that's true.
Recently it occurred to me how this magical words "just the way you are" is very important. I'm not going to write it down in my diary though.
The day when I would be able to tell somebody coming then I will confess to someone or to God on my profound memory of this song written by Mr. Billy Joel.
