すぐそこにある　What's right there

なんでもないものを撮影する事も課題にしている一つです。特別意味もない、目立ちもしないものばかりです。そういったものを写真の中で意味を持たせる、際立たせる事が出来るようになりたいと思っています。

One of the challenges is to photograph anything. All of them have no special meaning and do not stand out. I would like to be able to make such things meaningful and prominent in photographs.

いくつか取り上げてみましたが意味を持たせるというのは言い過ぎかもしれません。際立たせるというのも果たしてできているかどうか。

I've covered some, but it may be overstated to make sense. Is it really done to make it stand out?

写真は瞬間を切り取るものです。それは景色の一部を切り取ると言い換えてもいいと思います。今回取り上げた写真もそんなものの一つです。さらに一つ付け加えられるならば写真からその場の雰囲気を伝えられることができればいいなと思っています。

The photo is a shot of the moment. I think it can be paraphrased as cutting out a part of the scenery. The photo taken this time is one of those. If I could add one more thing, I would like to be able to convey the atmosphere of the scene from the photos.

技術があれば作為的に雰囲気を作り上げる事もできるはずです。所謂、印象操作というやつです。そういうことが必要な時もあるでしょう。でも作り手や伝える側がその危険性を認識しているのかどうかが重要ではないでしょうか。それは写真に限った話ではなく、何かを伝えようとした時にはいつもあるものだと思います。

If you have the technology, you should be able to artificially create an atmosphere. This is the so-called impression operation. Sometimes that's necessary. But it doesn't matter if the creator or the sender is aware of the danger. I think it's not just about photography, but always when I try to convey something.
