5am update

5am update.

I have now been waking up at 5am for x number of day. I missed one day where I didn't get up until 7, but even that is a stark improvement compared to before.

I now sleep at around 10. Between 10 and 10:30 I'd say. My sleep schedule automatically corrected itself after a few days of getting up at 5am, simply because I was so tired from not sleeping enough (I was sleeping at 12 or later before).

I'm feeling more inspired in general. At first my brain was weirdly creative, but that was due to sleep deficiency, I've now realized. Since I caught up on my sleep things have normalized, and I now don't feel that 5am is early at all. As long as I can sleep early, I don't feel any different in the early hours of the day.

THAT BEING SAID, getting up at 5am has had a very positive effect on my efficiency with regards to drawing. I find it a lot easier to get into the drawing flow early in the morning, which is great.

Two days ago I started walking again after not doing any exercise for over a month. Of course I overdid it and ended up walking the entire way to people's square and back. But it was good exercise and I felt great after.

Because I have freed up my mornings to get things done, I no longer feel bad or guilty when I spend time on walking etc.


Today is the 23rd, so I think I'm going to rent the Fujifilm X-S10 to try it out.
